I'm looking forward to this WEC card tomorrow. Strikeforce Nashville and UFC 112 were kinda letdowns. Its going to be interesting if Aldo Vs Faber ends up being the best card of the month, cause everyone was bitching about them going to PPV.

UFC Undisputed 2010 demo should drop later this evening for 360 and PS3. To get it you need to join the Undisputed website, there you get a code which allows you to download the demo on XBL or PSN.

A lot of people have been having problems registering to the site. If you want to join up, drop your email and I'll send you an invite. According to THQ, the demo will be available "somtime in the evening" (they are on PT).

Rashad Evans, Rampage, Lyoto Machida, and Shogun Rua are the fighters in the demo.

I like the fact that you can finish the fight on the ground in a position other than mount. I had to mount and posture up in 09 to get the stoppage. Its more realistic.

The stand up is way better too. Doesn't play like rock 'em, sock 'em robots. In 09, if you were getting punched, your fighter was unresponsive..so far I haven't experienced that.

Overall, the fighters fight like themselves. They have Shogun and Machida's stances down fairly well. They throw punches like they do in real-life. The game has like 100 fighters so I have my doubts that lower tier fighters like Antoni Hardonk are going to mirror their real-life styles.

I think Arlovski and Werdum are in the game solely to keep them out of EA MMA. Eddie Sanchez?? lol..i think they forgot to take him out.

Then youve got a handful of guys who have been released recently or last year, but made it in cause they were still UFC during development. Mcully, Franca, Al Turk, Parisyan, Hendo, Uno.

Looking at some of the fighters still in the game, I'm kinda surprised Roger Huerta isn't there.

im loving this game, although im getting clinch fucked by rampage anytime i let myself get caught in that

i think they kept those people just because they could, they probably still have the rights to them for a little longer so why not just use them to just add to the roster, im glad arlovski and werdum are in the game, could give a fuck about eddie sanchez though lol

im guessing roger huerta isnt there because he said he wanted to act instead of be in the ufc, that might have pissed em off a little lol, the ufc were the ones to cut ties with arlovski, werdum and sanchez

I finally got the game downloaded. I haven't been able to see a huge difference from 2009 yet though. Only difference I've seen so far is the cage is a factor now. How do you do the swaying from side to side to dodge punches?

I think Machida wasn't prepared for Rua's gameplan last fight. He totally lost that fight but the judges gave it to him. I think Machida will be prepared and focused this time and take it, even though I would love to see shogun win

Shogun and Daley are going to take it tonight. Shogun really won the first fight, and he'll prove it tonight with a knees to the head KO Rampage in Pride style. Also, I think Daley is going to take it because Koschek is in love with his "power punching" and will try to stand with Daley. If Kos realizes the best way to win is to use his wrestling he will have an easy win though because Daley has no ground game at all. Either way, both of them will get completely owned by GSP.

BTW, did yall hear what Dana said about Anderson Silva? If he beats Sonnen and Belfort Dana said he will ask him to vacate the title and move up to 205 because there won't be anymore challengers.

Shogun got robbed in the last fight, but I think Machida will be ready this time around. I want Daley to win too, I have nothing against Kos..but Daley is very entertaining to watch. If Kos decides to turn it to a wrestling match, Daley will probably get submitted.

Dont forget ESPN2 will be doing prefight coverage starting at 9pm ET. MMA Live started its month long trial on thursday. I believe they are doing post event coverage too.

Arlovski is the risky pick here, IMO. Arlovski hasn't fought in a year. Big Foot is a big hitter that gave Werdum a hell of a fight in the first round. If Silva can tap that chin early on, its lights out.

I only picked 1 fight correctly on UFC 113 :o, so i can only get better (I hope). my brother is still giving me shit.

overeem is a monster, but i also think rogers has a good chance of getting a KO. and im kinda skeptical b/c some of the fighters from japan have been getting dominated over here in the states. yeah arlovski is kinda a risk. hasnt fought in a while, and got ktfo in the 1st round of his last 2.

did you all see the pics of randleman's staph infection? fuckin nasty. it looked like he had a bullet hole in his armpit.

good to see Antwain Britt on the main card. ive seen him fight twice in Fairfax. He's fighting out of VA Beach i believe.

that ufc game fucking sucks..........

all you do is stand infront of each other & punch kick, not that ufc could consist of much more, but as simple as the format is on that, you would think the graphics/creativity would just be insane......

that shit is boring as hell to me

maybe you didn't like it. but based on your horribly uneducated description of what the sport consists of..i wouldn't expect you to.

its not a simple format, actually far from it. the fighting system is very deep. you aint gonna learn it in 5 minutes of button mashing.

graphics wise, all 100+ fighters were photo realistically created, insane would probably be a good word to describe it. and if you want to diss the creative aspect, you should probably read the tons of info about all the features added in this years game.

overall the response from the demo has been very positive. last game sold 3.5 mil, this will do more.

the game was not as realistic/fluid as it should be, fighting wise in my opinion......

it's like slap, slap, kick kick, slap..... ugh..........

seems like they should have alot more interaction off top, especially with a demo version.......

I feel like I should have seen, arm bars, chokes, leg locks, ground submissions etc all during the first fight........

I played 5 or 6 times, and all I saw was slap, kick, punch, kick slap till somebody won or got knocked down........

shit was boring as hell...........

2010 is much more fluid than 2009, the devs have constantly spoken on how they re did a lot of the animations for more fluid gameplay.

the 4 fighters in the demo are primarily strikers, so they arent going to have all the subs someone like a demian maia would. ive done quite a few of them already.

sounds like you should hit the start button and look at the move list.

hows that for an expert opinion?

you didnt play 2009, which means u cant tell how much the game has improved. the first thing maybe 90% people praised about 2010 is that its more fluid.

take a look at the main events for ufc 113 and 114, and u will see why the 4 fighters were selected for the demo. its called promotion for ufc events, id imagine zuffa knows what theyre doing.

yes the point of a demo is too give you a sample of the game. included in that sample is the move lists for the fighters. all the moves you stated u didnt see are in there.

I watched that fight last night, and it was crazy how Lombard just destroyed Silva. They kept saying he was a UFC vet, and I was wondering why I never heard of him. Then, the fight started, and I realized why. LOL! Earlier in the night I was disappointed by the Pitbull vs. Reis fight. I was expecting more from Pitbull after seeing his first fight.

im not really interested in an immediate rematch, unless a fight was controversial in some way. it really messed up their gameplan, cause an overeem/fedor title fight would have been PPV quality..like they had been talking about. they could probably still do it on showtime as a non-title bout.

rough year for SF, Fedor and Hendo havent really worked out.

I'm looking forward to Nog vs Bader. I think winner will get a interim title shot against Rashad.

After Marquardt v Sonnen everyone was saying that guard was dead. It was confirmed after Melendez v Aoki and then disspelled after Fedor v Werdum. I think this fight will settle it. There is no way Nog goes 3 rounds without being on his back unless he gets the early KO or Bader finds out early that he can stand with Nog (unlikely IMO but you never know).

The funny thing is I dont really remember Harris that much from TUF 7. There was a lot of drama that season. Did he get much camera time? Most of the focus was on CB Dollaway, Jesse Taylor, Amir Sadollah, Matt Brown, & Matt Riddle.

I think it was Sadollah who defeated Harris. Amir was the dude I was going for cause he was fighting out of Richmond.

Yeah, I don't think its dead but I do think its an defensive position. A lot of JJ guys will say its neutral and maybe it is in pure Jiu Jitsu. But in MMA with Unified Rules and quality of submission defense most fighters in the big leagues have...you'll find yourself on the wrong side of a unanimous decision if you fight in the guard these days.

i agree, a few years ago i would have really wanted to see this. but shaq can barely get up and down a basketball court anymore, so i doubt he could fight. and if it was really gonna happen, it would be a least another year. HMC would hit him with a few leg kicks, and shaq would be falling worse than the kevin hart joke.

he wouldnt want tito. i know shaq is just talking shit, but he has to know a dominant wrestler would destroy him. even with the size difference, tito would dump shaq on his back and beat his face in.

Any concept like that would have to go through the UFC. And I think the UFC would participate too...they're trying to tap into that market of black boxing fans that don't watch MMA. It seems like the UFC really wants to showcase their black fighters. Rashad was at the BET awards one year, they built Rashad/Rampage into a massive fight, they advertise the Best of Rampage DVD on BET, etc.

And they've got a good stable of next generation black fighters. Jon Jones, Phil Davis, Anthony Johnson. I still think Jones vs Davis for the LHW title (around 2012-ish probably) has the potential to be one of the biggest fights in MMA history if they promote it right and build the fighters up correctly (they're doing a good job with Jones...the verdict is still out on Davis)

Being a fan of the Fight Night control scheme, I enjoyed the controls of EA MMA over UFC Undisputed. The demo was decent. I don't watch MMA so I don't know how much interest I would hold in owning an MMA game. I may rent it one weekend to give it a whirl though.

I finally got a chance to play the game, and I see exactly what you mean about the movement Dro. The fighters move waaayyy too fast. Also, they have that ice skating feel you get from the NBA Live games from back in the day. I think they could have picked a different heavyweight for the demo besides Lashley. Being an MMA fan I'll probably get this joint for the simple fact they have Bas Rutten and Fedor in the game, but I'm not too impressed right now. Maybe after I get used to the controls it will be more fun.

Ea MMA has really grown on me. There are some things the game does better than ufc 2010, and vice versa. Once you get used to using the stick for TSC, and get a hang of the animations..its pretty good. And right on time THQ patched undisputed, and fixed pretty much all the major issues.

Pretty pumped for ufc 121 this weekend. I think Cain can do it, but if he cant im not sure Lesnar has anyone to worry about @ HW. This card should get more buys than 116 with the difference being the large support for cain, from the hispanic community.

I'll admit. It was the worst fight of an otherwise entertaining PPV. But he didnt deserve to get cut for it.

It seemed like he just gave up after almost getting choked out in the first. And he would have been put to sleep, if the timekeepers didnt accidentally end the round early. Maiquel Falcao also held on the choke too long. The whole end of the first rd was a big fuckup.

Going into the 3rd rd, he was down 2-0..and didnt even seem to try. I think thats what cost him the UFC job. He deserved another chance, dude finished his first 3 fights in the UFC and made SportsCenter Top 10. Oh well, Strikeforce and Bellator will be calling. He shouldnt be out of work too long.

Phil Davis (aka Dwight Howard's brother) is the man!!! Submitting cats with a policeman-style arm behind the back technique. He still needs to get his striking up, but that will come with time. Only bad thing is those pink shorts, but im not gonna say that to him lol. He might chest bump me, and id be brutally ktfo.

Dont know what they got planned for him next. Maybe the loser of Bones Jones/ Ryan Bader? Matt Hamill could be another possibility.

The brackets work well for Strikeforce because who ever wins the left side..has a strong chance to re-enter the top 10 even if they get KTFO at the finale.

Everyone on the right side will stay top 10 regardless...even Big Foot, if he loses to Fedor, he should stay put at around 10 (you can't really fault someone for losing to Fedor)..if he beats Fedor, he's top 5.

Overeem will shoot up into the top 5 with a win over Werdum..and if everything works out like it should...Overeem vs Fedor will be Strikeforce's first Superfight (with the winner being the #1 Heavyweight in the world, IMO).

Remember when Nick was saying "fuk you"? Well, when Nick was walking into the ring..there was 3 older Latino dudes sitting front row, about 20 feet away from the ramp where I was sitting..straight cholos..lol. They were flippin Nick off all angry. After a while I could tell that they were not kidding around. Nicks team basically ignored them. I thought maybe that Nick did not see them. Then when the fight was over..Nick ran over to them..jumped on top of the fence..and flipped them off..then he took out his mouthpiece and threw it at them. Then one of them threw his cup of beer into the ring. Watch again and you'll see liquid. Then..about 20 Nortenos from 209 who were sitting above these 3 older Latino..started throwing their water bottles and cups. Then one bottle hit a skinny innocent white dude and he freaked out and threw a chair..lol. By now, the 3 cholos were a little scared and just stood there waiting for security to escort them out. Andris Biedrins of the Golden State Warriors was sitting behind us and as this was happening his entourage swooped him up and took him away before he got hurt. When you have a million dollar NBA contract you'd probably do the same!! Chairs flying can't be good!!

im not too interested in seeing rashad/rampage either. their first fight didnt live up to the hype, UFC 114 overall was kinda a letdown. and they did 1 mill ppv buys on the event too, so the casual fans tuned in. good luck trying to sell them again on that fight. it would make a good co main event bout.

lol @ him saying hispanics dont care, he must have missed the turnout for cain velasquez. and of course the brazilians have been doing vale tudo for decades, i think they got a few black people there too.

the african-american audience is probably the smallest, but arum trying to make it sound like hockey. i got a couple theories on that. to say none of us watch mma is ignorant though, the black audience is growing as the sport does.

I think Dana White understands this very well. And thats why he's molding Jon Jones. Jones is set to become the first black American MMA mega-star. I honestly feel like Jones vs Davis for the LHW belt could be a potential MMA super-fight that garners attention from the black community. I'm talking about hearing people on the street talk about it like you would a Mayweather fight.

So I agree with Arum that blacks and hispanics are key. But disagree that MMA will never have wide spread appeal in these communities. I think we may be on the verge of that happening.

its funny to me cause arum is acting like he doesnt care, but he's trying to get some of that white male audience back. thats why he switched the pacquiao/mosley fight over to showtime from hbo. a big part of him going with showtime, is they can promote the fight on cbs. cbs is mostly watched by white males, but arum is quick to point out "it includes hispanics and blacks too". mma's fanbase isnt limited like hockey, or nascar. those are sports only white guys care about.

was talking with my brother about the black fanbase. we found that about 10% of UFC, and 17% of current strikeforce rosters are black fighters. majority of champions are hispanic and black. the numbers arent amazing, but i dont find them discouraging either. they are on par w/ baseball, which has been losing black players/fans for years. the difference being mma is on the rise, and the numbers are probably up from a few years ago.

first thing is to get more black fighters on the rosters. the ufc's hw division really needs some help, there is only cheick kongo. strikeforce has some good black fighters on the come up. daniel cormier, ovince st. preux, tyron woodley, king mo, and they just signed jason high. ive gone to a number of local and regional mma shows, with amatuer fighers and guys who just went pro. its surprising how many of these events had a lot of black fighters. with time, some of these fighers will end up in the big leagues.

getting into NY is key, everyone already knows that. reaching the large black and hispanic communties there would help. i think dana really wants to do anderson silva vs gsp in madison square garden, but i doubt thats gonna happen yet. i think cowboys stadium would be the place to go big on that event, all this considering gsp defends the title against shields.

educating people is important too, that goes for anything. if you dont know wtf is going on, why would you want to watch it? people have told me they dont like nba or nfl, but later i realized it was they didnt understand the game. people tell me hip hop sucks, but never have been put onto any decent hip hop music. mma can be confusing if you dont understand a couple fight styles, and the grappling game.

All we need is Jones to win and defend the title 1-2 times.

haha i dont like dollaway either. when he was on TUF, my girl would always say "his face is annoying". i originally thought munoz would get the tko, but i changed it to decision, thinking the wrestling would slow the fight down. missed out on the bonus points there.

the main event was crazy. i thought diego won, and dont think its controversial. it looked like a replay of the bj penn fight at first, but diego came back in the last two. his face was beat to hell though.

wtf. this is nuts. this is more surprising than the nfl lockout, b/c its completely out of the blue.

i was gonna comment in here earlier today, about how dana would make some moves w/ the nfl possibly not having a season. but mr white is already 100 steps ahead of everyone. there are a couple reasons why i think this went down...

1. nfl situation, also the nba too. loading up on talent to bring in new fans.
2. recent strikeforce success. the heavyweight gp made a lot of noise for them, the ratings were pretty good.
3. decline of japanese mma. k-1, dream, and src all in bad shape. coker talked about taking sf to japan, and probably would do well there. ufc didn't want another pride on their hands.

the way the game is now, you're only as big as the ufc wants you to be. bellator better watch out.

What does honor all contracts even mean? All the contracts of all Strikeforce fighters? Or just the Showtime-Strikeforce contract? Usually the fighter contracts don't mean much..their contracts are either carried over to the new promotion or are voided and offered new contracts (for instance, if Dana wants to stop Strikeforce guys coming to the UFC still on their Strikeforce contracts from fighting for non-American promotions) I read that the Showtime-Strikeforce contract is up Feb. 2012.

What would be more interesting is if Dana could do the merge prior to Feb 2012 and leverage the Strikeforce-Showtime relationship to get the UFC on CBS this fall. CBS would have to give up a lot of control but they might be willing to do that if they know they'll get 2-2.5 million viewers. Like Dro said, with the NFL lockout there is a big opportunity here.

Hey, I've been out the entire week in the Yucatán mountains doing one of these Peyote spirit journeys. Now that I'm back from my celestial voyage, I'm happy I didn't miss anything in the world of MMA. It was a relatively slow week -- until the planet flipped over. Sengoku collapses, Japan essentially collapses, Strikeforce collapses, and it all happened within a 48-hour period. Thankfully, the Sunday Morning Rumor Mill is still intact.

-So you're probably wondering why Dana White announced the Strikeforce buyout on a Saturday morning. It's rumored that Dana White wanted to ensure that the NFL player's lockout was official before announcing the UFC purchasing Strikeforce. Dana's plan is to literally undercut the NFL fanbase by providing UFC/Strikeforce in a time slot that would be endemic to NFL fans. Now that the 2011 NFL season is essentially displaced, it's heavily rumored that Dana will work with CBS to host weekly fights that will air on Sunday morning/evening.

-Once the Showtime contract with Strikeforce is up, ZUFFA will let the Strikeforce brand die and select which fighters they would like to accept into the UFC. There is simply no room for brand confusion in such a young sport.

-However, another rumor states that Dana White will keep Strikeforce around, but the organization will be used as a 'lower-tier' promotion and the 'top' guys will be absorbed into the UFC. In this scenario, ZUFFA would own UFC and Strikeforce and each organization would use the other as competition, sort of like how Starbucks owns Seattle's Best Coffee.

-The ZUFFA bumper will be shown at the beginning of Strikeforce broadcasts, starting with the April 1st Strikeforce Challengers show.

-Don't expect to see anymore Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand-Prix fan-made promos or any highlight reels for that matter. Much like how ZUFFA has already snuffed out all YouTube videos that use content from the UFC, they will also seek to expunge any copyright infringing videos that use intellectual property of Strikeforce.

-Elbows will still not be allowed on the ground in Strikeforce.

-As of right now, Sumner Redstone is the most powerful man in MMA. He's the majority owner of CBS Corporation, Viacom, and MTV Networks -- essentially the guy owns MMA. It will be interesting to see what, if any, plans he has for mixed martial arts.

-Apparently the UFC/Strikeforce deal was discussed in Abu Dhabi.

-If ZUFFA lets Strikeforce die and handpicks fighters from their roster, women's MMA is essentially finished. Dana White has no intention on accepting women into the UFC.

-Apy Echteld and Dana White had a phone call yesterday. Not sure what they were discussing, but one can only assume Dana is going through Apy instead of Vadim Finkelstein to see what's actually going down with Fedor's contract.

-As mentioned before on the Sunday Morning Rumor Mill, Fedor's contract is with Showtime, not Strikeforce. In about nine months, Showtime's contract will be finished which also denotes that Fedor's contract will be terminated. Should be interesting to see what happens with The Last Emperor.

-Showtime still plans to go full-force with M-1 Global in 2011. (their first show is in a few weeks in norfolk, va @ ODU..in case you guys didnt know)

-It's rumored that Scott Coker made an estimated $15,000,000 - $20,000,000 on the Strikeforce buyout.

there are some rumors that ESPN is kinda mad, b/c they didnt get the break the ufc purchase of strikeforce story. the biggest stories of the week were the lockout and college hoops, and rightfully so. the ufc story probably would have gotten 30 seconds of airtime on espn.

if the rumor is true, it should be a lesson for them to step up their mma coverage. you cant claim to be the worldwide leader in sports, and half ass your coverage of the worldwide fastest growing sport. mma live was an ok start, which they were reluctant to do. hdnet shits on them every week with inside mma.

tony reali and jim rome are probably the only espn guys the show mma some love. kornheiser and wilbon bash mma on the regular, but when nfl and nba guys fight its ok.

Strikeforce had it in their contracts to allow fighters to fight in other organizations. Dana White said they will honor all of the current contracts, but after they end I'm sure they will get the standard UFC type contract. So they better fight in as many other shows while they can.

Except little regional orgs. But the only reason they fought in those orgs was to stay active if Strikeforce couldn't get them fights. I can't imagine the pay in those organizations is any good.

Dream is done especially now after the earthquake. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have another event all year. Hell, it wouldn't shock me to see "Zuffa purchases Dream" in the next few months.

i'd agree with that. wilbon also gets a pass b/c we share the same dislike for mayweather lol. kornheiser always saying mma is "barbaric thugs" or something stupid like that. he completely disregarded the anthony pettis matrix kick, like "meh..i dont like it". but when sergio martinez knocked out paul williams, they went crazy. i understand though, they are old guard guys who came up on boxing.

espn is lagging though, i think ufc is popular enough that sportscenter should give some regular coverage. im not saying an in depth breakdown of the events, leave that to mma live. but the results should be shown, and maybe some quick highlights. 2 or 3 events a month, and sportscenter doesnt show anything? if ufc is lucky, maybe they get a top 10 highlight..thats it.

he completely took shoguns will, before any gameplan could get going. when the 2nd started, shogun looked like he didnt want to be there anymore. he was just existing, waiting to be finished. he even tapped to strikes at the end.

and hours before the fight, jones & greg jackson nabbed some new jersey crackhead. they saw him breaking into a car and steal a gps. newarks police issue may have been solved :D

bones got some love on sportscenter today..thats whats up. they also covered the 1 legged asu wrestler who won nationals, i was happy to see that as well.

they got bones as a heavy favorite over rashad. i see the fight playing out just like saturday night, ring rust will be a big factor. ufc should really be able to sell this fight, its got a wwe style storyline to it.

should phil davis take care of lil nog on saturday, we'll be one step closer to the bones/ mr wonderful fight. if everything aligns correctly & ny legalizes mma, i could see this fight being the main event for the first ufc in new york @ madison square.

I really don't see how Rashad can win that fight. Rashad is tailor made for Bones. Bones is going to nullify his wrestling and rag-doll Rashad around like he does to all wrestlers. Without the wrestling, all Rashad has is quick hands but I don't see how he can close the distance when he's giving up 10 inches in reach.

I don't see how Rashad gets Jones on his back. He's small. Jones has tossed around bigger, stronger wrestlers. If anything Rashad better plan on fighting from his back.

I'm not sure why Rashad didn't just drop to 185. No one would've thought twice about it since they were training partners. That was like a free get out of jail card. Dana would've thrown him a fight he could've won with his wrestling (Bisping II, Wanderlei, maybe a Vitor) and then a title shot since it looks like Silva vs GSP aint happening.

I don't see anybody beating Bones anytime soon unless he loses focus and slack off in training.Dude is levels above the competition already and is young and still learning.I'll go as far as to say that he beats Cain Velesquez.

bones vs cain would be interesting. im a big fan of both, but id go with cain at this point. there are a few key things we dont know about bones yet. heart and cardio are two very strong points of velasquez, so i wouldnt see bones quickly breaking him. and cain hits HARD, more impact than any pro boxer tested by sports science.

it was a good fight for davis to see where he's at. it was pretty obvious lil nog would get the better in boxing, being that he's competed and trained with high level boxers. the kicks seemed to be there all night for davis. i also think them having trained together before helped nog with the TDD. mr wonderful already starting to get some of that bones jones hate, so he's doing something right :)

rumble johnson vs hardy was a big letdown. i have no problem with rumble using wrestling to win, but he popped shit for months about this fight. saying he was gonna knock hardy out, and his head would fly into the crowd etc. then you come out and start shooting for TDs.

the mcdonald vs figueroa fight on the undercard was crazy, check that out if you missed the facebook stream. mcdonald showed some real nice kickboxing, and figueroa got out of some nasty submission attempts.

The thing is...Davis has fought 5 times in just over a year. His UFC debut was Feb 2010 and he's 5-0 in the UFC. I think he needs some time off.

In a couple years he'll be a beast if he focus on boxing.Boxing did wonders for wrestlers like Koschec,Rashad,Rampage and Sherk.It's not fair to compare him to Jones because Jones is a once in a lifetime phenom.

I don't compare him to Jones at all right now. Hell, I don't think anyone is on Jones' level yet. I do think this fight showed where he needs to focus his training since it was his first fight against top competition. I do think he will be a contender in 2012 though.

Larkin put on a show though he slowed considerably in the second.

Things like this is what pisses me off about the UFC buying Strikeforce. I'd like to see a LHW GP after the HW GP featuring their proven talent (Mousasi, Kyle, Feijao, King Mo) and their up and comers at 205 (OSP, Roger Gracie and now Larkin). But Strikeforce as a promotion probably won't exist by the time something like that is feasible.

My Bones vs Davis fight prediction is possibly coming closer to fruition. Jones just pulled out of the fight with Rashad to get surgery on his hand. And Phil Davis is stepping in. If Davis wins..he jumps into the top 5 and will have an impressive resume with wins over Lil Nog and Evans. That put him square in title contention. I think Davis will have a harder time with Rashad then Bones would have but its a winnable fight for him for sure.

i had it for diaz too, but the stats show condit landed more shots. i'll have to rewatch it and see what i think. there were some talks of an immediate rematch, but cesar gracie (nick's trainer) said its not happening.

lesnar/overeem went down just as i imagined. i dont think he was ready either, but it was a win/win for ufc. if brock wins, the biggest draw in mma is back. if overeem wins, they have a new HW star to push. i dont think too many cats can take those uber knees and not crumble, maybe roy nelson lol.

Diaz just got popped for weed so thats why the rematch isn't happening.

I don't know..I had Condit winning but honestly the first 3 rounds were a toss up in my eyes with Condit clearly winning the 4th and Nick slightly winning the 5th with the backmount/submission attempts.

143 was pretty sweet live. It was my first UFC card live. Its a different experience for sure. Its more exciting but its pretty annoying being interrupted by people getting up to get beer in the middle of a fight.

Its also interesting to see how the dynamics of the crowd changes. We got there when the doors opened and I saw all the prelim fights. Only the hardcore fans were there that early and so you heard a lot of clapping and appreciation for the ground game. The BOOs didn't come into play until the main card started. They boo'ed Condit pretty hard after the decision. I felt sorry for him because he's a good dude.
