This the thread you come to when you wanna talk about anything HT or tech toy related. Ask questions, give advice, or talk about the tech you have or are looking to get.
Some of us could prolly use a thread like this. Could save you money on purchases or help you get the right equipment you are looking for without looking lost at Best Buy.

I have been putting together my home theater stuff for about 2 years now. Got a Samsung 58 in plasma, PS3, 360, Dish Network, and of all things a sony home theater in a box. I have been looking at the Polk RTi series of speakers for the upgrade. For the prices they have for that series, do ya'll think those speakers are worth it or should I look at a different line of speakers?
BTW it is going to be a 5.1 setup so I would need to get all the component speakers and a woofer. Do ya'll think those prices are worth it?

I guess it all depends on what sound or quality you want.. If you have a 5.1 receiver then you are on the right track.. I have a Sony 5.1 digital receiver that gets down.. My only problem is that I use 12 inch KLH tower speakers and not using a dedicated subwoofer.. I have aiwa as my surround and pioneer as my center channel..lol

Damn man, you all over the place with the speaker types. Is the sound pretty good? Because I heard that if you don't have dedicated speaker groups for your setup that you can get issues with the sound.
ive got 2 polk monitor 70s, and the rest are in-wall/in-ceilings (rci-6's ithink)
The 70s w/ a 12" woofer IS ALL YOU NEED. TRUST!
Its all about the size of your room, those polk 70s fill my entire floor - crystal kleer.
