"A friend of ours who used to write for Rolling Stone told us an amusing story about the recently departed James Brown. It was back in the early 80’s and this reporter called James to ask his opinion of the new sensation Prince, who was being compared to him. Prince’s shiny suits, pompadour hair, and melodramatic songs were reminiscent of early James Brown. When our reporter got James on the phone and brought up Prince, Brown didn’t hold back. “He’s a skinny imitation of me!” growled the Godfather of Soul. “HE RIPPED ME OFF!” The moves, the style, the hair – I did it all first!” We don’t know if James became more politically correct later on, but he had no love for Prince back then."

"Bobby Womack says in his book, "Midnight Mover," that Marvin Gaye was a genius but he wanted to die like a hobo. Marvin also had a freaky side. 'He told me once about driving down Sunset Boulevard having sex with a hooker in the back of the car while his wife was at the wheel.' One time we were at the studio, Marvin said, 'When I go out I want to go like I came. With nothing.' A few weeks before he died in 1984, we had an album planned. His son Marvin III, was putting it together. When I turned up at the studio to record. Marvin's son was embarrassed. He told me, 'Marvin ain't going to make it tonight.' Towards the end of his life, he was walking around unshaven, in his pajamas with an overcoat on top. When he died, I knew he had problems with taxes so I found out where his second wife Janis lived. I called her up and told her what Marvin meant to me and then I went out to the beach where she lived and slipped her a couple of thousand bucks. I knew everything that Marvin had left undone would be on her. "

As writer Robert Christgau put it, Gaye "found himself despising women for doing the kinky things he forced them to do."Before she was 21, Janice had been shooed into affairs with a number of singers, including Frankie Beverly, Rick James and Teddy Pendergrass.
Jeanne Gay said, "Marvin didn't just ask Jan to fool around, but he'd become angry at her when she refused to obey and wouldn't tell him the stories of the affairs he wanted her to have."
His mother added, "He wanted Janice to go with other men. Then he'd suffer with the consequences. He wanted to suffer."

Although he was 33 and Janice 16, the girl's mother "encouraged the relationship," Gaye said.
The lovers holed up in a mountaintop cabin in Topanga Canyon, California. She soon was pregnant, and Nona Gaye arrived in September 1974.
"My first feeling was one of joy and happiness," Gaye said. "Naturally, still being married to Anna, things were a little complicated. But I've learned over the years that sometimes complications are best handled when they're ignored."
Another child, Frankie, was born 14 months later.
Anna and Marvin divorced in 1977, and he married Janice months later. By then, Marvin was using Janice as his voyeurism fantasy dream lover.
Oddly, the singer shared details about his kinky sex life with his mother, Alberta. She said Marvin's sexuality had been informed by Anna Gordy Gaye.
"Anna taught Marvin certain tricks—tricks with her body, sex tricks—that Marvin taught Jan," Alberta told writer Ritz.

More on Marvin Gaye

"During the 1970s, he toured only to pay off mounting debts—including a $2 million tax bill for failing to give the government its share of record advances.
A divorce lawsuit filed by Anna brought new financial pressures after a judge ordered him to pay her $5,500 per month in the interim before settlement.
Gaye was earning $20,000 a month in 1975, according to biographer Steve Turner, and his production company earned a profit of $1.2 million that year from the singer's national tour.
Yet Gaye could not come up with $5,500 a month for his wife and adopted son because he was blowing his cash on cocaine and other indulgences.
He bought his parents a neo-Tudor mansion in L.A.'s Crenshaw district. He bought himself a 5-acre estate in Hidden Hills, complete with a full-sized basketball court and elaborate horse stables, even though he had no interest in horses. He bought an interest in the New Orleans Jazz NBA franchise.
He bought oceanfront property in Jamaica. He bought 14 cars, including a Rolls Royce, a Jaguar and several Mercedes Benzes. He bought a speedboat, a small yacht, an RV and a couple of tractors.
He bought financial interests in a series of professional boxers—paying their expenses in anticipation of future earnings. None ever panned out.
He built an elaborate recording studio on Sunset Boulevard in L.A., complete with a suite with a king-size waterbed and a hot tub large enough to accommodate a harem.
After seeking $1 million, Anna Gordy Gaye agreed to settle the divorce for a lump-sum payment of $600,000, money that Marvin expected to earn by recording an album for that single purpose.
The 1978 record, cattily entitled "Here, My Dear," was a critical and commercial flop, with its self-centered themes and titles such as "Anger" and "You Can Leave, but It's Going to Cost You," a reference to Anna's warning that the "young girl" Hunter would cost Gaye a fortune.
But the payment to Anna resolved only one small part of his debt woes.
An ex-manager claimed Gaye owed him $2 million. Four musicians had successfully sued Gaye for $200,000 in back pay, and California authorities shuttered his studio for nonpayment of taxes.
His last gasp at regaining financial footing came on September 28, 1979, when a fighter he owned, Andy Price, took on welterweight champion Sugar Ray Leonard.
"If Price could win, I was looking at millions of dollars in future revenues," Gaye said. "With one blow I could... clean up my whole financial mess."
Leonard knocked out Gaye's man in the first round."

Al Green

In October of 1974, Green was riding in a car with two women; everyone was having a good time until one of the passengers-Mary Woodson fell silent without explanation. By the time Green pulled up to his home, Woodson refused to respond to any of his questions, after they entered the house, they had a big argument, Woodson stormed out of the room and went into the kitchen while Green decided to take a bath.
Woodson burst in on the singer while he was taking a bath and poured hot boiling grits on his back, causing second and third degree burns. She then shot herself dead.
Green was deeply shaken by the incident and vowed to devote more time to God.
At age 29, at the peak of his career, Green abandoned his career and converted to Christianity.
At his church in Memphis, TN., Green keeps one seat vacant in memory of Mary Woodson.

Bobby Womack reveals the following in his book, "Midnight Mover."
"One day, Sam Cooke called me and asked me to come over. Sam was standing in the middle of the living room when I arrived. He didn't say much, he just cued up a song.
We listened, a great booming sound crashing out of his massive studio speakers and when it ended I had nothing to say.
The song was 'A Change Is Gonna Come.' I didn't know what I could say. I knew what I was thinking, though.
I looked at him and he stared right back, he looked right through me.
What do you think? He asked, staring at me hard.
'It sounds like death.'
'Death?' Sam hadn't expected that.
'Yeah, it's just so eerie, I told him. 'It gives me the chills, Sam.
Sam leaned over and stopped the tape machine. Then real slow, he turned back to me. Then he said, 'I promise, I won't ever release that song.'
Sam said, it will never come out, Bobby. I'm scared of that song.' It will never be released- 'Not while I'm alive.'
Why do you think I am afraid of this song? He asked. I said, 'it sounds like death, like somebody died or somebody is going to die.'
That's what I'm afraid of. 'Death.' It ain't the one, he kept repeating.'
Womack says, "I tried to take back my opinion because I wanted others to hear the song, it is a beautiful song but he told me I'd already spoken my bit.
"A Change Is Gonna Come" was written and first recorded in 1963 and released under the RCA Victor label shortly after Cooke's death in late 1964.

Actress Linda Blair (The Exorcist) came to Buffalo to see me and I was very happy to see her. A few months before her visit she had called to say that she had-had an abortion, and that it had been my child. She said she was in the middle of shooting a movie and was starting to show, and she didn't think I would care anyway.
She was wrong. I did care deeply. I loved Linda and it hurt me that she would choose to abort our child without even wanting to talk to me about it first. I still look back on her choice with sadness and wonder about our baby, and how having that child might have changed me life.
One night during her visit, I took her into the studio and we sat down at one of my synthesizers. I was showing Linda how to write a song on keyboards and I started playing. I told her that in composition you're ok as long as you keep playing. It's when your fingers stop moving that you're in trouble. The next thing I knew I was composing a tune about her called, "Cold Blooded."
"She was the inspiration for that song."

'Clueless' Star Stacey Dash: My Husband Beat Me
Posted Apr 9th 2010 12:05AM by TMZ Staff
Stacey Dash from "Clueless" claims her soon-to-be ex-husband beat her on multiple occasions ... and she got a restraining order against him on the day she filed for divorce.
http://www.blogcdn.com/www.tmz.com/media/2010/04/0407_stacey_dash_emmanuel.jpg
TMZ obtained the restraining order -- originally signed by a judge January 29 and still in effect -- in which Dash claimed her husband, Emmanuel Xuereb, hit her in the face, head and body during their two-plus years of marriage ... but she was afraid to report it to police.

Dash, 44, also claims a drunken Xuereb once violently pinned her down to a bed and threatened her, saying it would be the worst night of her life.

Xuereb must stay 100 yards away from Stacey, her two children (neither of whom are his) and the family home. They're due back in court in June.

Tiki Barber could be facing fourth-and-long on NBC’s “Today Show.”

The ex-New York Giants running back has a contract that expires soon and he could be dumped from the program, according to the New York Post, which earlier this week broke news of Barber splitting from his wife Ginny, who is pregnant with twins, and his relationship with a young former intern.

Barber reportedly earns about $2 million a year from the show, but his role has been considerably reduced, as it was on NBC’s football coverage.

“Tiki has a contract with NBC, and I’ve heard nothing to the contrary,” Barber’s agent Mark Lepselter told the Post.

Barber and his wife Ginny have two other children already and will soon have four after she gives birth. The public portrayal of his alleged philandering can’t be good for his post-football TV career right now.

Nicki Minaj Rumored To Have Hired Diddy As Manager

http://cdn.hiphopdx.com/images/news/Nicki_Minaj-Nicki_Minaj_Readies_The_Barbie_Diaries.jpg

Rumors have suggested that Antney's termination was brought on by what Minaj felt was Antney's failure to keep up with managerial duties. Antney is speculated to be the reason the rapper had to forego Rihanna's "Last Girl Standing" tour, as she may have failed to acquire Minaj's international work permit.

Minaj's possible deal with Diddy could be considered an unexpected move. Insiders speculated that the young rapper would take a manager from the Young Money/Cash Money camp. Diddy's public reputation as an industry manager has been admittedly erratic. While having worked with some of the most talented acts in the industry, such as Lil Kim, group Day 26, and Mase, have all left the Bad Boy label due to financial conflicts with Diddy.

Minaj has not yet confirmed these rumors.

Ginuwine Lashes Out At Timbaland

“He really hasn’t been interested in working with me, so I can’t speak on the present,” Ginuwine tells VIBE of Timbaland. “But back in the days, it spoke for itself as far as him being the most sought after producer. Music was boring until he came out with that new sound. Back then, I would have described it as futuristic because it was something that had not been done and people jumped on it. If it wasn’t for him making that style as hot as it is, a lot of producers that’s out now maybe wouldn’t even be here.”

The singer adds that he’s still upset at Timbaland for not supporting him promotionally on his 2009 project, A Man’s Thoughts, despite producing a song for the album.

“Me and Tim were real close at one point. A lot of the times that I reached out, there were a bunch of excuses,” explains Ginuwine. “I begged and pleaded with him because I felt a certain way but I was like, is it just a bad vibe that I’m picking up on? Maybe I’m bugging out, I don’t know. But it came out to be true and I still feel like he owes me an apology for that. The reason I’m pissed off at him now is because of what he did. I would’ve been cool and not bothered him if he would’ve said, ‘Nah, I’m too busy,’ or gave me the lame excuse like he’s been giving me. But don’t do it and then not do what you’re supposed to do [to promote the song].”

While some have labeled Timbo a sell-out because of his recent work with pop stars like Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, Ginuwine disagrees.

“I don’t know about the sold out thing. I think any smart businessman would go where the money is bigger, but I also feel like you don’t forget your roots either,” says Ginuwine. “You don’t alienate the people that helped you and started you out… What is it about me now that you just don’t like? And if it is something, say it. I can take truth. I can’t take that kind of stuff and right now I don’t really like him. I really don’t. That’s not being a man.”

Ginuwine is roughly 18 songs into his upcoming seventh album, Elgin, which he hopes to release this August. Producers include Bryan Michael Cox and Diane Warren

“I think he's just the sexiest, and a brilliant writer. And I know he's gay.” – Rufus Wainwright

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson might just want to think twice before he starts anymore beefs with rappers as his own sexuality is being placed into question.
According to singer Rufus Wainwright, who has already professed his love for the rapper, he makes the claims that 50 might have more than just a sweet tooth for candy.
People always did wonder about those G-Unit tank tops too…
Speaking with Details Magazine, Wainwright elaborated more on his fantasy where the lead role is none other than Jackson.

“That cute little voice of his. It's okay, 50 Cent. Feel free to call me anytime. My boyfriend and I are experts. You can come over for dinner. And maybe dessert,” Wainwright said.

Well 50, might want to stand clear and be aware of exactly what that international love is from here on out. Female groupies are one thing to handle, but dudes can only mean even more trouble brewing.
Go shorty…It's your birthday.

There was a record burning up the airwaves called" I Wanna Be Your Lover" by some cat named Prince. He Played guitar, and everybody was telling me how a tour with me and him would be great. I bought his album and I really enjoyed "Sexy Dancer". I thought the kid was pretty funky. So I asked for the company to send me a video on him.
I recieved the video and as I watched him I thought he reminded me
a bit of myself, except he didn't move as much. I asked Prince to open up the Fire It Up tour.

My stage for the tour was the most elaborate and expensive yet. I had stairs everywhere, moveable lights and forty-foot lifts for both
me and my drummer. I had designed the stage myself, and it was all white. I had new costumes designed that were really cool and sharp. The band loved them, and we were geeked to get out on the road. We were never so ready for a tour as Fire It Up tour. Our first date was down south. I hadn't meet Prince yet. In fact the only thing I had heard about him was that he was shy. I had hope he wasn't too shy or he had no right being on the road with me, thats for sure.

When I walked in through the backstage entrance, Prince was sitting
on his group's drums playing some bullshit beat. I sat down on our set where he could see me and began playing some serious shit. He looked over at me and just got his little ass up and walked away. That was my first victory.

I had a feeling this tour was going to be something else, but I had no idea. The first time I saw Prince and his band I felt sorry for him. Here's this little dude wearing hi-heels, playing this New Wave Rock & Roll not moving or anything on stage, just standing there wearing this trench coat. Then at the end of his set he'd take off his trench coat and he'd be wearing little girls bloomers. I just died. The guys in the audience just booed the poor thing to death.

The following weeks of the tour weren't very different from the opening date. Whenever I was on stage I'd see Prince on the side of the stage just staring and watching everything I did, like a kid in
school. I'd walk over to him during a song and point my base right in his face, grab my crotch, give him the finger and keep jamminn. He was remembering everything I did like a computer.

I use to do all these tricks with the microphone-flip it, catch it back-wards, you name it. It was a trademark of mine. I also used
to do a lot of crowds chants. I'd have my hand on my ear while I called these funk chants to the audience. One day I walked into the auditorium, getting ready to go on, and I heard the crowd chanting loudly. I went to go check it out. Here's Prince doing my chants. Not
only that he was stalking the stage just like me, doing the funk sign, flipping the microphone and everything. The boy had stolen my show.

I was pissed and so was my band. This went on night after night, every show I'd see more of my routine. It got to the point I couldn't do the stuff I had always done cuz Prince was doing it before I came on. It started to look like I was copying him. Everyone knew what was happening, his management, my mangagement. The atmosphere
backstage was not improved by the fact that Prince band members were not on good terms with my band and my guys wanted to kick their asses. Prince's musicians would stick their noses in the air and not even acknowledge the Stone City Band, even if they were all standing together, waiting for the elevator. My Band was the friendliest bunch of guys you ever wanted to meet. They were veterans; everyone liked them. Prince group was a bunch of egotistical assholes who never even played on a record. The kid did
it all; they were just hired players.

On the road, you have to have camaraderie, because you are seeing the same people night after night. Prince's shitty attitude and the atitude of his band made it pretty hards some nights. One day things
almost blew up. I was pissed, my band was pissed, and something had to be done.So my management and Prince's management got together, along with Prince and his band and me and my band to have it out once and for all. First I met with Prince's manager and told him that if Prince did any more of my show he was off the tour. Even his own manager agreed that Prince was stealing my show. Finally, we all met in Prince room: Prince, me and our bands. My band six foot five Maasai Warriors with their braids and leather sat at the end, while Prince's band, in their eyelashes and makeup, sat at the other.

Prince's band was afraid, very afraid. Levi and the boys were ready to give an-ass-whipping. Prince sat on the bed and hardly said a word. He acted like a little bitch while his band and mine patched up their differences. And after that confrontation, things went back to normal, me kicking his ass every night.

Soon after that episode there was a birthday.part for me. Prince came, he was sitting at a table with some
people not drinking. I walked up to him grabbed him by the back of his hair and poured cognac down his throat. He spit it out like a little bitch and I laughed and walked away.
I loved fucking with him like that. Later on he would fuck with me,
but for now, it was all about Rick James. I felt our competition was healthy, although I was jealous when he started getting big-more
than jealous- I was pissed, because here was this little short ego'd-out fucker who I had a feeling didn't like people of his own race and wanted to be white and taller. I was pissed because I felt his songs about incest with his sister and a lot of his stuff wasn't real, and it was dangerous for the race. A writer and a recording
artist has to be careful with what they write. We are obligated to at least be real.

There have been enough motherfuckers running around talking about devil-worship or gangster rap, whereas I always felt that black people had to be a little concerned with the influence they had on younger generations. All the power he had became scarey when you think of it being in his little fucked up hands. When he wrote Controversy," "Am I Black, Am I White, Am I Straight, Am I Gay?
me and my band would say "Who Gives A Fuck?" I never saw Prince
hang with a brother or a sister. In fact his whole demeanor was like that of a short uppity white boy. He would sing songs like "Give Head Till You Red" I mean that motherfucker probably never gave head in his life.

Lol Rick James got me dying over here

During the tour we did a couple nights at the Universal Amphitheater
Everybody in Hollywood was trying to get tickets. The second night of the show Rod Stewart and his wife Alana, and Frank Sinatra's daughter Tina and her boyfriend boy, came to the show. I decided they'd all sit together in front row seats- the seats belong to Prince.

Rod came backstage then walked me to the stage. When we got to the
backstage Prince came down. When he saw us he jumped over the stairs and fled. Rod looked at me and said "I hate that little prick."

I agreed. I had heard that during The Mary Jane Girl's performance Prince had his bodyguards carry him around during the middle of the Girls show, just trying to get attention. I was pissed. That little bitch. Had Prince not jumped over the stairs and ran I
swear I would of kicked his little ass.

While on stage I saw Prince bodyguard attempt to throw Rod, Tina
and my personal guests out their seats. I think I might have said
something while on stage. Rod's wife Alana has a lot of balls and after the show she told Prince to kiss her ass. I just laughed.

I heard later that Prince went to Michael Jackson Concert trying
to disrupt shit. When Michael found out he was there, he came out badder then ever and Prince left the show. I always thought of Prince as a great-player and a very innovative person. But as far as himself as a person, he could use a good ghetto ass kickin'.

Dick threw this great party after the American Music Awards. There was incredible food and plenty of drink at the after party.
My Mom was there with me, proud as as punch, Prince was there.
He hadn't come to the award show, but he brought his little ass to the after party. My mother asked him for an autograph- and he actually ran away! After I heard about that, I went off. I was
going to kick his little ass.

When I found him, I started to get in his ass, His manager Steve
Farnoli, asked what was wrong. I told him the little motherfucker
had insulted my mother. Steve brought Prince over to apologize
like the little bitch that he is. He said, I'm sorry" to my mother
and tried to apologized to me. But I didn't want to hear it. Someone snapped a picture of him trying to apologize to me. My
expression said it all.

Tiger Woods' marriage to Elin Nordegren is over, with reports in the U.S. that the golfing superstar and his estranged wife are making the finishing touches to their divorce, The (Sydney) Daily Telegraph reported Wednesday.

Just days after Woods completed his triumphant return to golf following his cheating scandal, U.S. news show Entertainment Tonight reports Nordegren, who failed to show at his Masters comeback, is close to filing for divorce.

Correspondent Kevin Frazier, who has links to Woods, said: "For weeks now there have been rumors that Tiger Woods and Elin NordegrenClick the image to open in full size. might reconcile and save their marriage.

"It was believed by going to sex rehab that Tiger had done just enough to keep his family together. But sources have told me that the marriage is indeed over.

"Evidence? Well, the fact that Elin was on a plane, in the air, headed to Arizona during the final round of the MastersClick the image to open in full size..

"Usually, with her husband in contention at his biggest tournament, she would be there waiting for him in case he won; instead she made a plan so that she would be in the air while Tiger was playing.

"The couple hasn't spoken for quite some time and it is believed that all they have to do is work out a few more details on their divorce and they can sign the divorce decree and both can move on with their lives."

Elin's continued anger at her husband's infidelity was also evident when Woods rented out a separate mansion for her and their children, complete with servants, at the Masters in Augusta.

The marriage was all but over last November when club hostess Rachel Uchitel became the first of four alleged mistresses to come forward with claims they had sex with Woods during his marriage.

The four women are former porn star Joslyn JamesClick the image to open in full size., who claims she was his mistress for three years; former Playboy model Loredana Joli, swimsuit model Cori Rist and Uchitel.

Since then a host of other women have also come out alleging they had affairs with the world's top golfer.

Larry King Files for Divorce #8
TMZ has learned Larry King just filed for divorce from his wife Shawn Southwick -- the 8th time King's pulled the plug on a marriage.
http://ll-media.tmz.com/2010/04/14/0414-larry-shawn-king-doc-launch-ex.jpg
In the divorce papers, filed moments ago in L.A. County Superior Court, Larry blames the split on "irreconcilable differences."

Larry, 76, and Shawn, 50, were married back in 1997 -- they have two sons together.

Back in 2007, Shawn had bragged about being the only one of Larry's wives to have made it into "the two digits." She is the 7th woman to marry King.

As for the eight divorces -- back in 1962, King divorced a woman Alene Akins ... and then remarried her in 1967 ... before divorcing her again in 1972.

Jay-Z got knocked the fuck out by Lil' Fame of M.O.P..... he paid tons of people off never to speak of it....

The Scenario Remix was recorded two days prior to MC Hood's death..... but the song was edited wit' Busta sayin' that Hood was in "Spiritual Essence" meaning he was dead.......

Was FANTASIA Really Assaulted???
Wednesday, April 14, 2010
Posted By: news at 7:10 PM
Here's the official statement from J Records:

Reports of Fantasia being assaulted with a chair are inaccurate on several accounts. The location of Kush Lounge is in North Charleston, South Carolina, not North Carolina. Fantasia was indeed contracted to make an appearance at the night club and not only honored that commitment, but also performed. The altercation took place between Fantasia's bodyguard and the club owner (not the promoter) who was inebriated and overly-aggressive in his efforts to meet Fantasia. Fantasia was escorted out the club and neither assaulted nor injured during this dispute.

Fantasia is currently in the studio placing the final touches on her upcoming album slated for release this summer of J Records.

We all know The Notorious B.I.G. was killed in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997. But, ironically, Biggie shouldn't have been in L.A. that weekend. Big, who'd been in L.A. since early February '97 promoting his 'Life After Death' album, was supposed to hop a flight to London on Friday, March 7, 1997, to continue his promotional junket. Biggie canceled his flight, and chose to remain in L.A. that weekend. He enjoyed the sunshine too much, and didn't want to leave it behind to go to an overcast London. Plus, he disliked European food. It may seem trite, but it's true. If Biggie had gotten on that flight on March 7th, he might still be with us.

mase had a million dollar contract (I think he was the first rapper, to get that).

Kool Keith & DMX used to collects bugs.

Lil Kim was at one time pregnant by BIG but had a miscarriage. She also use to transport drugs on the bus system for him.

Da Brat was the first female Hip Hop artist to go platinum

Immortal Technique battled Poster Boy on 106 and Park and lost. Immortal Technique who use to battle in all of the underground battle circuits also battled Slug from Atmosphere and a few other well known underground battle mcs.

After Chino XL recorded the track 3 to the Dome for Sway and Tech with him, Kool G Rap and Kane, Kool G threw away his rhymes and Chino went into the trash and took the crumpled out rhyme out and kept it because he was such a big fan of Kool G.

Ghostface use to wear a mask earlier in the Wu's career because he was really on the run from the police and took off the mask once his name got cleared.

The original version of Interview with A Vampire written by Ras Kass was about a 12 minute song and was chopped down to the 7 minute song recorded on Rasasssination.

There is a long list of rappers who are not from or even raised in the areas they claim as rap artists.....to name some from what I know:

Prodigy is not from QB originally
Xzibit is not from L.A., he moved there to pursue a career from N. Mexico
Mailk from Illegal (appeared on Pump Pump on Snoop's Doggystlye) was from S.C. but claimed L.A.
UGK is not from Houston, they are from Port Arthur Texas
DOC as already said was from Dallas
Canibus is not from Jerzey like he originally claimed, but has lived in various places from Canada to Atlanta because of his family moving around.
DJ Premier is not from NY, he is from Dallas Texas

Ice T use to be a REAL street pimp and hustler at one time before becoming a rapper.

MC Hammer had to be restrained by Russell Simmons because he was going to attempt to beat down MC Serch after giving him the Gas Face on the song Gas Face.

Q-Tip and Janet Jackson have had a love interest in a long time, but remain friends. That is why Q-tip got the part as her slain boyfriend in Poetic Justice.

In Poetic Justice...2pac was supposed to have an extensice sex scene with Janet Jackson, but it was not shot when Pac refused to get an HIV test

Puffy directed Outkast's Player's Ball and Southernplayalistica dillac***** videos

Nore did time for murder when he was a juvenile.

Bizzie Bone and his siblings were molested repeatedly by their stepfather, and were kidnapped by him when their mother left him, which he says sparked his wild drug habit. Bizzie Bone also claims to have never tried eX, and claims that he was pressured into doing a verse on "Ectasy".

Snoop named "The Chronic". Dre didn't start smoking weed until he met Snoop, contrary to popular belief, he wasn't lying when he said "I don't smoke weed or cess", because at the time he didn't.

keith murray and prodigy had a physical altercation about 5 years ago.

Accuser: Big Ben Exposed Pen%$ in Hallway
http://ll-media.tmz.com/2010/04/15/0415-ben-bn-tmz-05.jpg
Ben Roethlisberger's accuser told friends that the QB took his penis out of his pants in a Georgia nightclub before following her into a bathroom -- this according to newly released witness statements.

Milledgeville Police spoke with multiple witnesses who claim the accuser told people she was raped -- moments after her encounter with Ben.

According to one witness, the accuser claimed that it all started while she was in a secluded hallway in the Capital City nightclub, when Ben walked over to her "with his penis already out of his pants."

According to the witness, the accuser claimed she tried to walk out of the area -- but instead of opening an exit door, she mistakenly opened the door to a bathroom ... and walked inside.

According to the witness, the accuser claimed Ben followed her inside the bathroom and shut the door. The accuser told her friends that's when Ben raped her.

As the accuser and her friends left the club, they reported the incident to a police officer. According to the newly released police report -- the accuser told the officer her "recollection" of her encounter with Ben was "foggy" due to her "intoxication level." This statement seems to contradict the statements given by the witnesses.

The cop claims he also spoke with Ben that night -- and according to the document, Ben told the officer that he remembered hanging around the accuser earlier in the night ... but told her "she was too drunk after observing her fall." Ben said he then walked away from her.

Last week, after a lengthy investigation, cops announced they would not be pursuing charges against Ben.

Witnesses: Ben's Bodyguards Wouldn't Help Us

Originally posted 56 minutes ago by TMZ Staff
Friends of Ben Roethlisberger's accuser say the NFL star's bodyguards and the club owner refused to let them help their friend as she was allegedly being raped ... this according to documents obtained from the Milledgeville Police Department.
http://ll-media.tmz.com/2010/04/15/0415-big-ben-map-arrow-bn.jpg

According to the documents, witnesses told police they saw Ben's bodyguard escort the alleged victim to a backroom where the tiny bathroom was located -- and Ben followed shortly after.

One of the accuser's friends told police she approached Ben's bodyguard and "told him that [the alleged victim] was in no shape to be back there with Ben." The friend said she tried to open the bathroom door but it was locked, "and the security guards acted like they had no idea what was going on."

Another friend said she approached the owner of the club to get him to unlock the door -- but he refused and said "Ben's an NFL quarterback, he won't do anything to ruin his reputation." The owner gave a statement to cops, and made no mention of making the comment.

Both witnesses say once the alleged victim walked out of the bathroom, she immediately claimed Ben had raped her.

In documents released Wednesday, Nicole Biancofiore told investigators from the Georgia Bureau of Investigations that her friend, a student at Georgia College & State University, “was dragged by a bodyguard to the back room in Capital [City, a local nightclub]. She was extremely intoxicated and not aware of what was happening.”

“He had sex w/me and meanwhile his bodyguards told my friends they couldn’t pass them to get to me,” the accuser wrote in her statement, which was reported in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

BET Banned Teairra Mari & Soulja Boy's "Sponsor" Video

Well this is some ish. We got a letter from someone who is a part of her Teairra Mari's Fo Reel label that BET has banned her and Soulja Boy's video for "Sponsor".

Apparently BET has deemed the video as detrimental to young women because it supposedly teaches them to get paid for sex/relations with men. Which is debatable in itself. And Teairra's people say this is a blatant double standard in the industry.

We actually confirmed this afternoon that BET indeed is giving the video a much harder time airing. All because the station execs are weary of the message. Here's the letter we received:

I was informed that 106 and Park, a source for African Americans to promote their music, have banned Teairra Mari's song Sponsor and other projects from surfacing on their channel. No one else will report because they don't want to put it on blast. I feel bad for the underdogs because they are not given a fair chance and its even worse when your own kind won't promote you. What's bad about Sponsor that overshadows any work that Lil Wayne, Ludacris, and many others have showcased on BET? Why is it, do you think, that booty shaking and such is allowed but a video by a woman encouraging others to make it is bad. Why is it that Lil Wayne can perform "Every Girl In the World" with his daughter on stage, but women artists have to be "appropriate". I understand if they would at least let Teairra come on the show to explain the concept behind the song. It just seems like a shady business where people who have made it have certain control over those that haven't
through shady connections.

I know people may say "well who checkin' for..." but what if these people actually had a chance in the business if it wasn't so shady?

Nicki Minaj has pissed off a legend in the rap game. Eric B. of Eric B. and Rakim took to Twitter to give Nicki a genuine "Go f**k yourself!" And it's all because she tried to play him out and acted like she didn't even know who he was when they met. Well that;s a co-sign an up and comer never wants to hear.

The deets when you read on...
Check this ish out:

HSK has exclusively learned from legendary rap mogul Eric B that the “Microphone Fiend” producer set out to meet Nicki Minaj, after his daughter let her dad know that she was a fan of Nicki’s mixtapes. So, E.I. hooked up the meeting for Eric B -- He tells me that he figured it was the right thing to do for his daughter, so she could get her desired picture of her dad with Nicki. But, the meeting didn’t exactly go as Eric B thought it would have. He says when Nicki met him, she treated him like he jumped over barricades and snuck by security to meet her. Who the fuck is this bitch? Nicki actually treated an OG of the rap game like a peasant. WTF? She needs to recognize that she’s a new jack (and a shitty one at that) and bow down to those who started this rap game! But, she didn’t. And that’s exactly why Eric B told Nicki to go fuck her herself…I would too, wouldn’t you?

Eric B. even took to his Verified Twitter Account to offer her some niceties:

Why ban a song like "Sponsor" when you got songs about aggins flippin' coke, shooting up ya block, and having orgy's with the same "young women"? That's definitely a double standard.

Sidenote: I don't even like that damn song, but fair is fair.

Nicki Minaj: “When My Father Set The House On Fire, He Was Attempting To Kill My Mother…
http://www.details.com/images/homepage/May2010/LastCall/LastCall_ArticleV.jpg

Details: Your father set fire to your home when you were a kid in Queens, New York. What happened?

Nicki Minaj: He drank a lot and did drugs, and he would get violent when he did. When he set fire to the house, he was attempting to kill my mother. She got out before it burned all the way down. I’ve always had this female-empowerment thing in the back of my mind—because I wanted my mother to be stronger, and she couldn’t be. I thought, “If I’m successful, I can change her life.”

Details: What can women get away with in hip-hop that men can’t?

Nicki Minaj: I have a lot of freedom to be crazy. I can rap in a London accent, make weird faces, wear spandex, wigs, and black lipstick. I can be more creative than the average male rapper. And I can show my boobs. Guys can’t do that.

Details: As an openly bisexual rapper, do you think hip-hop is getting more gay-friendly?

Nicki Minaj: I think the world is getting more gay-friendly, so hip-hop is too. But it’s harder to imagine an openly gay male rapper being embraced. People view gay men as having no street credibility. But I think we’ll see one in my lifetime.

Details: As younger and younger fans come to your shows, do you feel pressure to tone down the racier elements of your persona?

Nicki Minaj: I do. I’m a role model now. I didn’t know I was gonna have 13-year-old fans, so I’ve tried to change a few things here and there. But I also know that the girls don’t want me to be Miley Cyrus, either.

Chris Brown & Rhianna Gossip

"I am not the first OP but I can confirm that yes they are still in contact. The Matt Kemp angle is just a cover to make it seem like Rihanna has moved on when in fact she is def getting it in with Chris. It is known in certain circles that these two are still very much in contact which is why Chris friends should really fall back with what they post on twitter and Myspace about Rihanna. If this comes out it will be from someone in Chris' camp because the people around him are the ones with the loose lips.

The reason why Chris or Rihanna never threw each other under the bus is because they were still going to be together regardless..."

Rihanna Rushed To Hospital
Rihanna was rushed to the hospital after performing in Switzerland on Monday night, and her camp is going out of their way to keep the details of her visit under wraps.

RiRi played a sold-out concert in Zurich on Monday night but had to be rushed to the hospital right after her show wrapped. She was rushed to the ER in a black Mercedes accompanied by a camp of bodyguards, drivers and assistants.

She stayed at the ER for over two hours before finally being released. Alenka Ambroz, head of the clinic’s corporate communications, said: “Rihanna arrived at the accident and emergency unit. We’re not going to give any details.”

Whatever Rihanna's mystery medical condition was, it didn't last long because she was back on stage on Tuesday in Lyon, France.

Hmm....wonder what it could have been for?! Either way, we're glad to hear she's doing better!

Detroit Pistons 'Bad Boy' Mahorn says he's broke
http://cmsimg.detnews.com/apps/pbcsi.dll/bilde?Site=C3&Date=20100422&Category=METRO&ArtNo=4220425&Ref=AR&Q=100&MaxW=290&MaxH=290
Former Detroit Pistons "Bad Boy" Rick Mahorn, a member of the 1989 NBA championship team and the franchise's radio analyst, has filed for bankruptcy and lost his $500,000 home, records show.

Mahorn, 51, and his wife filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy because of failed investments, the plummeting value of their Rochester Hills home, and the burden of repaying more than $200,000 to the IRS, he said. Portions of his paychecks have been seized to satisfy delinquent federal taxes, records show. Along with Derrick Coleman, Mahorn is the second retired Pistons star to file bankruptcy in recent months.

Last week, the trustee overseeing Mahorn's Chapter 7 filing accused him of failing to account for several assets, including his NBA pension and championship rings: one with the Pistons and two as a coach of the WNBA's Detroit Shock.

The whereabouts of his Pistons ring is a mystery.

"It's gone," he said in an interview with The Detroit News.

Mahorn, who earned more than $6.8 million and a reputation for aggressive defensive play during an 18-year career, and Coleman are the latest in a recent string of retired Detroit athletes to experience financial problems, including former Detroit Lion Luther Elliss and former Red Wings Darren McCarty and Sergei Fedorov.

"Like any normal American, I'm trying to find a job to better myself," Mahorn said. "I'm doing everything possible."

Mahorn is part of the Pistons radio broadcast team and he works for Palace Sports & Entertainment, but he and his wife are trying to find additional jobs to boost their income.

Mahorn and his wife filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy on Dec. 8, listing $228,603 in assets and $518,688 in liabilities. The case is pending in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Detroit. A Chapter 7 filing lets individuals discharge certain debts while allowing the court to liquidate nonexempt assets and use the money to help pay creditors.

Public records indicate Mahorn and his wife faced a foreclosure sale in April 2009 because the couple had defaulted on their mortgage and owed more than $539,000. They were later sued in a Rochester Hills district court by U.S. National Bank, which won a judgment for possession in November.

Mahorn, who retired from the National Basketball Association in 1999, would not discuss the nature of the failed investments or more specifics about how he spent millions in NBA income. The bankruptcy filing came after he failed to renegotiate the mortgage on his Rochester Hills home, which had plummeted in value by about $300,000.

Mahorn surrendered the home to his mortgage company last month and is renting in Metro Detroit.

The bankruptcy filing came despite Mahorn earning a six-figure salary in recent years through jobs coaching the Shock and as color commentator on Pistons radio broadcasts. The couple made $161,065 in 2008 but his income fell to an estimated $100,000 last year.

He was netting $6,161 a month but his average monthly expenses were $12,763, according to bankruptcy court records.

Following an NBA career that included stints with the Washington Bullets, Pistons, Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Nets, Mahorn has coached for several teams, including the Atlanta Hawks and in the Continental Basketball Association.

Mahorn was head coach of the Shock for one season before the team was sold last year and relocated to Tulsa, Okla.

When the Mahorns filed, they had $100 cash and $1,001 in two checking accounts. He was leasing a 2007 Cadillac Escalade and owned a 1999 Lincoln Navigator worth $2,200, and a 1971 Oldsmobile 442 worth $10,000; and his wife owned a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta with 85,000 miles on the odometer.

The couple listed an unspecified amount of state and federal income taxes among liabilities. But public records show that since 2006, the IRS has filed liens for almost $214,000 in delinquent taxes against Mahorn.

A lien is filed when taxes haven't been paid and gives the government a legal claim to a person's or company's property. Liens serve as security or payment for the tax debt.

Mahorn's lawyer Scott Zochowski said the tax debt has been repaid.

The IRS seized an estimated $35,000 from his paychecks last year to satisfy the tax debt, according to bankruptcy court records.

The IRS was merely one creditor, court records show.

Other liabilities include debts on nine credit cards and $55 owed to the Baldwin Public Library.

Under assets, Mahorn didn't list the Pistons championship ring, because he says he no longer owns it. He said he gave the ring to his late mother but would not say what happened to it afterward.

Mahorn still owns the two Shock championship rings and his lawyer is trying to verify who possesses the Pistons ring. He said he plans on filing updated paperwork in bankruptcy court to reflect additional jewelry items and other documents requested by the trustee.

Mahorn would not discuss his NBA pension.

"Rick's in a very similar situation to other folks who have lived through bad investments and an uncooperative mortgage company," Zochowski said.

"Chapter 7 is offering them a fresh start and I am confident they will be able to make the most of it."

Lindsey Lohan's worse week ever: Dropped from movie, Dad accuses her of drugs, suspect in theft

April 25, 2010, 12:19 PM EST
WENN -- Lindsay Lohan's film career has taken a hit -- the troubled star has been dropped from her new movie.
The actress was slated to star alongside Woody Harrelson and Giovanni Ribisi in upcoming adventure comedy "The Other Side," about a graduate student working on a deserted island.
But writer-director David Michaels confirms the Mean Girls star won't be moving forward with the project.
He tells TMZ.com, "Our team simply chose to move on from Lindsay and we'll soon be announcing a replacement."
Lohan's last big-screen outing was the flop Labor Pains, which aired on U.S. TV in 2009 before going straight to DVD.
The news caps the end of a very bad week for Lohan -- on Thursday, her dad Michael led a raid on her apartment in a desperate bid to convince her to seek help for alleged substance abuse issues. She was then named a suspect in the theft of a luxury watch

Late R&B singer Gerald Levert's Geauga County home damaged by fire

http://media.cleveland.com/metro/photo/levert-home2jpg-16d8e383913ab814_large.jpg
NEWBURY TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Fire investigators are trying to determine what started a fire at the unoccupied home of late R&B singer Gerald Levert.
A neighbor reported the fire in the 15800 block of Arbor Trail about 11 p.m. Saturday.
The large two-story brick home, valued at $340,000, was engulfed in flames. Firefighters were there all night. No one was injured, but the house was destroyed. Only the garage remains standing.
State Fire Marshal investigators are assisting the local volunteer fire department in trying to find the cause of the blaze. Debris was collected to test for accelerants.
The house has been vacant since soon after Levert's death Nov. 10, 2006. He died accidentally at age 40 after taking prescription pain relievers with anti-anxiety medication and over-the-counter antihistamines.
Levert had three children. Their mothers are seeking part of his assests. The house was up for sale April 8 by the Geauga County Sheriff's Office. No one bid on it.
The son of Eddie Levert of the O'Jays, sang in a trio, LeVert, best known for its 1987 Top 5 hit, "Casanova." He sang solo beginning in 1991, producing three albums that sold a million copies each.
Levert's younger brother, Sean, died March 30, 2008, of complications of Xanax withdrawal, sarcoidosis, diabetes, high blood pressure and moderate heart disease. He died at the Cuyahoga County Jail after his Xanax was withheld.

Excerpt from "Divided Soul":

“A disc jockey tells the story of a midsixties night at the Twenty Grand, a Detroit night spot, when Marvin Gaye was due to perform while Berry Gordy was seated out front. Marvin simply refused to go on, saying he was too frightened. Burning with anger, Berry went backstage and smacked Marvin in the mouth, then began cursing at him. The disc jockey said he’d never seen anyone reprimanded with such vehemence. Marvin took the punishment and, a few minutes later, performed.”

Eva Marcille and Lance Gross Breakup
http://www.essence.com/images/mt/lance_gross_eva_marcille.jpg
Five months before their July 17th wedding, model/actress Eva Marcille, 25, and actor Lance Gross, 28, have split up. When ESSENCE.com reached out to the couple's representatives for confirmation about the break-up we were given this official joint statement.

"Lance Gross and Eva Marcille have mutually decided to end their relationship. The split is completely amicable," the statement reads.

Last month the blogosphere buzzed that Marcille and Gross, who had been together for nearly three years, were on the rocks, due to an alleged argument between the two during Super Bowl XLIV weekend in Miami.

The couple got engaged on Christmas Eve 2008, while vacationing with family in the San Bernardino Mountains outside of Los Angeles, after dating for a year and a half. The couple announced their engagement to ESSENCE.com.

We reported: "Marcille and Gross decided to open gifts after dinner in their rented cabin. When Marcille opened her gift--a pillow with a note attached that read: 'Hope you like it. Give this pillow to the man you love and he will explain.' Gross used the pillow as a cushion and got on bended knee and popped the big question with a 3.36-carat 1895 Pave Cartier ring at 11:30 PM PST."

"She took full control of my heart and is the only woman that has ever made me feel that way," Gross told ESSENCE.com during happier times. Ironically, Gross stars in the recently released movie "Our Family Wedding," which he said was like rehearsing for the couples upcoming nuptials.

"I was in love with him before we ever met. He's my dream guy!" Marcille told ESSENCE.com after Gross popped the question.

According to the joint statement from their reps, "both parties remain friends."

Gay Celeb To Come Out On Cover Of People
http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/39/2010/04/340x_people42710.jpg
ources tell us that People has the exclusive on a celebrity who will come out on the mag's May 5 cover, followed by a press tour of several major talk shows, including The View. Who could it be?

Our tipsters also claim that publicist Howard Bragman is behind this coming out party, and that the flack announced his plans for this latest gay revelation on the red carpet at the recent GLAAD Media Awards. He's orchestrated similar outings for his other celebs clients in the past—Meredith Baxter, NFL defensive lineman Esera Tuaolo, Married with Children's Amanda Bearse—and also handled the news of Chaz Bono's transition of FTM.

There are plenty of celebrities living in the "glass closet," so to speak—Anderson Cooper, Ellen Page, Zachary Quinto, Kevin Spacey, JC Chasez—to name a few. But we're not really sure any of those people are about to make such an announcement. However, Queen Latifah—who has been rumored to be a lesbian for years—has a movie hitting theaters on May 14, so the timing there would be perfect.

John Legend's Virginia run-in with two "old racists"

A few hours after singing at Sunday's Earth Day Climate Rally on the Mall, John Legend sent a message via Twitter to his fans: "Visiting family in VA. Ran into two old guys who must've been celebrating confederate history month. Told us to get our asses out of here."

"VAisForLovers," he added ironically. It was another embarrassment for the state, still smarting over Gov. Bob McDonnell's proclamation celebrating the history of the Confederacy that failed to mention slavery.

Legend tweeted a few more details later that night: "The old racists were in a residential area in Fredericksburg. We were lost and they thought we were driving suspiciously so they pull up." Legend asked for directions, he wrote, because he was visiting a new housing development that didn't show up on GPS or Google Maps; he gave the address he was trying to find; the two men insulted Legend and his friends.

Fans tweeted their response: "I would have shown you some hospitality. would love to know who dissed you" and "Where is Fredericksburg so we stay away?" And the tourism folks there weren't thrilled to hear about it. "That certainly isn't our approach and not very beneficial to our brand," Karen Hedelt told us. "We don't want anyone to have a bad experience."
But maybe a tweet -- even from a celebrity who reaches millions with a few taps on a keyboard -- is just a tweet. "I really don't consider this a big deal," said his rep Cindi Berger. "He Twittered about it. Nothing terrible happened. He'll Twitter about something else."

Indeed, by the end of the day, Legend seemed to have moved on, at least on Twitter: "Anyway, the DC concert was hot today. Great energy and great music. Peace and love to everybody."

Tony Turner reveals in his book, "Deliver Us From Temptation."

Motown virtually acted as a bank for its artists. The Tempts, for instance, were given an advance of $500 dollars a week each against their earnings from royalties and live performances. If they needed anything, all they had to do was let Motown know and the money would be released. If the Tempts were on tour and one of their wives needed money, she would go to Motown and tell them, "My kid needs new shoes," or "The mortgage is due," and it would be paid.

All of these expenses were deducted from their royalties as were the expenses incurred on tours, including limos, champagne, first-class hotel suites, etc. The Tempts were never given any written statements showing what they had earned or spent.

David Ruffin would often say, "It's my fucking money, nobody controls my money. Fuck that, "we'll always take care of you" shit. Gordy better take care of me now!

Ruffin began to balk the system. Although Ruffin was a capable songwriter, he or any other of the Temptations were never allowed to write or produce their own material.

Despite this, Ruffin was spending plenty and living high. He bought himself a huge place in Ontario where he went whenever there was time off. He loved to ride horses by the water.

David loved horses and he loved cars. At one point he bought a Cadillac and had it lined with mink. Back in 1966, he was driving an Eldorado convertible, emerald green with a white interior. David showed up at Flo Ballard's house in the car when I was in Detroit.

The late Rick James on his prison stay:
"After my conviction, I was sent to Folsom. I was moved into a private part of the prison, the "Rich House," because the warden knew a lot of people would be trying to get to me, but in the end, pretty much everyone loved me. These thug life motherfuckers would come over and start in talking shit and I would talk shit right back to them."

"I ended up having all the shot-callers real close to me and they put a blanket of love around me. The Mexican Mafia, the 415, the Crips and the Bloods, even the Aryan Race. I had heard the Mexicans had a hit out on me, so I called the head Mexican Mafia shot caller to my cell and he said, "I've been in prison 25 years and your music helped me get through this shit, I ain't gonna let anyone touch you man. I'd kill one of our people if they fucked with you."

"Many of the guards hated me, but I just told them, "Fuck with me and I'll have your ass. I'm too fucking rich and I have a cousin in Congress, so go ahead and fuck with me." They had bets going; who was going to be the first to write me up, send me to detention, shoot me accidentally."

"But soon, even the CO's were growing fond of me. "One of the females smuggled me in a tape recorder that recorded, so I could write and record. Another female officer would smuggle my tapes back out. When I wanted it, I could get steak, escargot, champagne. The female prison guards loved me, the CO motherfuckers even loved me and the rednecks loved me. A few times, I even sent fruit baskets to their old ladies in the street after my people found out their addresses.

Kevin Ammons makes the following allegations in his book, "Good Girl, Bad Girl."

"Around the time Whitney Houston's album "I'm Your Baby Tonight," came out (before Bobby Brown) she renewed her relationship with Eddie Murphy. This time it was a sexual relationship.

According to Ammons, Whitney's childhood friend and assistant Robyn Crawford was livid and asked Whitney to stop seeing him, Whitney ignored her and continued the relationship.

She was finally beginning to appreciate the perks of being able to date openly and to go out in public with someone she cared about."

Whitney was crazy about Eddie and then Eddie dumped her.

"Whitney was still carrying a torch for Eddie Murphy and she wanted to get back at him for dumping her. She thought if he saw her with other guys, he would become jealous and come back to her."

Whitney had a brief fling with Randall Cunningham (former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback) at her place in Antigua, allegedly, Cunningham was hooked. According to Ammons, Cunningham told Whitney's former publicist, Regina Brown, that he was in love.

He would call and Regina would allegedly put him on the speaker phone so Ammons could listen. Ammons said, "The guy sounded upset and couldn't understand why Whitney wouldn't talk to him."

Meanwhile, Regina called Whitney and told her the photographs of her and Randall had arrived. Whitney told Regina to give them to the rags (National Enquirer and Star tabloids).

Kevin talked Regina into selling the photos of Whitney and Randall for $20,000. England's Sunday Mirror sent a courier with a check.

The following week, the photos were plastered all over the tabloids in this country and abroad.

All of this just to make Eddie Murphy jealous. Despite this, the couple never reconciled.

Eartha Kitt makes the following allegations in her book, "Confessions Of A Sex Kitten."

"In the 1960's, the civil rights movement was coming into it's prime with Martin Luther King, Jr. at the helm. Every penny I made from my Apollo audiences went to Martin Luther King's organization. I had been threatened by the Black Panthers in the elevator of the Palmer House a month or so before. Four of the football-type muscle men caught me in the elevator, telling me they wanted me on their side. I rejected their threats. 'Okay, Kitt,' they said, 'We will get you in Harlem.' This made me even more hesitant about accepting the contract offer for the Apollo but I took my chances and hoped for the best."

"There was a rally on Seventh Avenue in front of the Theresa Hotel, where those of us who were with Martin Luther King were called on to make speeches in his support. I was booed and hissed and had rotten tomatoes and the like thrown at me by members of the Black Panthers." "When I finished my speech, I returned to the Apollo to finish my shows for the evening. I was followed by members of the Black Panthers who spewed insults at me all along the way. I was told later that the store windows on both sides of the front entrance of the Apollo were smashed with stones thrown by members of the Black Panthers and bomb threats were phoned in, luckily, nothing happened."

"I adored Malcolm X but not his tactics. We had known each other as kids in the streets of Harlem and I had many discussions with him but I believed in Gandhi and Martin Luther King.

BASKETBALL WIVES: Matt Barnes speaks
If you our a regular viewer of VH1’s Basketball Wives, you may have noticed that there is only ONE happy couple on the show. All of the other “wives” are separated from their ballers with the exception of one that is in a bad marriage. The one happy couple is Orlando Magic guard Matt Barnes and his fiancee Gloria Govan (who is sisters with Gilbert Arena’s fiancee Laura who “allegedly” slept with Shaq before Shaunie filed for divorce *DRAMA*).
Anyway, although Matt agreed to do the show in the beginning, he says he is disgusted by it after watching the first episode.

I wasn’t 100% against it at the beginning. It started back in Phoenix when Shaunie O’Neal approached my fiancee about it and I was really apprehensive about it. Then they kept approaching fiancee Gloria about it back and forth back and forth and I was really against it but my fiancee talked to the producers and felt good about it so I definitely backed her.
But after watching the first show I was just disgusted. I told my team because you know [my teammate] Dwight’s involved in that too that I’m not watching that because I know it’s going to make me mad and I’m going to watch it at the end of the season. I just think that what they say is going to happen and what actually happens is two different things.
Reality TV is kind of a joke. Everything is scripted. There is nothing reality about Reality TV. With that said, I’ll kind of leave it at that but if you want to have me back on at the end of the season when I won’t get fined for what I say, I’ll definitely tell you what I think about that.

Guru Supporters Launch "F*ck Solar" Website, "We Are Going To Follow Every Step You Make"
http://www.sohh.com/img/Guru-Solar-2010-04-28-300x300.jpg
Fans of late rap pioneer Guru have come together to launch a new website called "F*ckSolar.com" aimed at exposing the emcee's producer/partner.
Based on the site's profile, documents and facts will be used to expose Solar
We started this website because we believe that there is one place for "Superproducer" Solar, and that is jail. We are not going to sleep, rest or eat till Guru gets the proper respect he deserves. Solar is tarnishing Guru's legacy, and we ain't going to let that happen! Solar, you better start praying, because we are going to follow every step you make. Why we are doing this? For the love of hiphop, for the great musicClick the image to open in full size. he blessed us with.....But most of all, for Guru. We are ready for war. Are you? If you have any comments, scoops or any information, you can contact us at info [at] f*cksolar.com (F*ck Solar)
The site also publishes daily posts from multiple outlets going after Solar's reputation.
"Many people asked me to actually do this and I come clean, I didn't really enjoy writing this. However, the truth has to be written to the public. The people who wrote me asked for my help. About the whole Solar Guru situation... We should have known people. We should have known this would come this far. Superproducer Solar is a manipulator of the highest degree and loves to control people. I really hate making a post on DJ Premier Blog about Solar, I even promised last year not to mention Guru ever again (because I saw no ending with that Solar dude)." (F*ck Solar)
Following Guru's passing last week, Solar denied claims of being romantically linked to the late emcee.
"That's untrue, completely unfounded," he said. "Guru is a familyman, I'm a family man. I don't want to say anything against anybody living a certain type of lifestyle -- everybody is free to live their life how they choose to live it -- but that's not my lifestyle or Guru's lifestyle. We're straight men. He dealt with women and family. I dealt with women and family. There's never been any blurring of the lines whatsoever." (MTV)
In addition to Guru's estranged family, Gang Starr's
DJ Premier also blasted Solar over his mistreatment of the rapper while hospitalized.
"If you love him, and you're taking care of him, why the f**k did his nails look longer than a f*cking ruler?!" Premier accused during a Sirius broadcast. "[And] a clump Afro?! I've taken care of people in the hospital [before]. You can wash their hair and cleantheir nails off. His feet were swollen and his toenails were really disgusting...I took the logo on my shirt and rubbed it against his whole body and told him a message from me about how much I loved him, and that we were for life and still were for life. Then I kissed him on his face and let him know that I was going to miss him because it seemed like he was already gone." (All Hip Hop)

Kim Kardashian under attack: More plastic surgery allegations

Reality star Spencer Pratt has been on a Twitter rampage. Targeting stars like Kate Hudson, Hayden Panettiere and Lindsay Lohan, the fame-hungry MTV star has been dishing out some harsh comments. Kim Kardashian is the latest victim of Spencer's Twitter attacks.

On Monday, Spencer called out Kim for lying about plastic surgery. The accusation comes on the heels of recent reports that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star had liposuction while married to Damon Thomas. Spencer pointed the finger at Kim stating, "Kim K how am I supposed to believe that about you be all natural ...when I know who your doctor is? On your tv show u said u were HUGE LIAR!"

Spencer didn't stop at calling Kim a liar. He went on to write about Kim's relationship with Reggie Bush and her recent breakup. "Kim k difference between posing and being a poser! Maybe Reggie found out you were both? Ouch ! How was euro hoe u flew to bang? Classy."

Kim has adamantly denied claims that she has altered her body cosmetically. In the past, the reality star posted a statement on her website. "I HAVE NOT EVER HAD PLASTIC SURGERY!!! I am definitely not against it at all, but haven’t yet had it!"

Tony Turner reveals the following in his book, "Deliver Us From Temptation."

David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks and Dennis Edwards were booked to appear on a double bill with the Four Tops.

David had not shown up for the previous two performances in Wisconsin and when he didn't show in Milwaukee I wondered what I was going to tell the Four Tops because I knew they were booked for a huge tour of forty or so cities.

Around 4 p.m. the Four Tops showed up and they gave me no time to make excuses for David.

The first thing Levi Stubbs said was, "We know David's not here."

"How do you know?" I asked.

"Because we just saw him in Detroit. We were in our limo, coming through the city on our way to the airport and we saw him scrambling for crack on the corner. We think he was selling his Rolex. We had the driver pull over, and we said, 'David, come on, what are you doing? You've got a show to do tonight.' He told us, 'Oh, I'll be there. Go on and I'll be there later. Tony's going to get my ticket.' Well, we told him to fly out with us, we told him we could get him a ticket and everything but he wouldn't come with us."

The Four Tops eventually replaced David, Eddie and Dennis with Otis's Temptations.

Things got worse for David. One night, cops called David's girlfriend and asked her, "Do you know David Ruffin?" "Because we have a fourteen-year-old down here that has your Lincoln Continental and a signed piece of paper saying he bought it from Mr. David Ruffin for twenty dollars." David had traded the Lincoln for twenty dollars worth of crack.

Another night, David had returned late one evening from a crack house with two young boys, 8 and 10. It turned out, their mother had tried to sell them in the crack house for crack. David rescued them, he was scared something would happen to them. Despite his addiction, he managed to track down the kids Aunt and turn them over to her.

Tony Turner makes the following allegations in his book, "Deliver Us From Temptation."

In the early 1990's, David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks and Dennis Edwards were booked to perform at the Super Bowl pregame show.

We had all been given complimentary Super Bowl tickets. David asked me, what are you going to do with your Super Bowl ticket? I told him, "I'm going to sell mine. There's a man downstairs who wants to buy two for $1,200 dollars in cash."

David said, what! Sell mine, too!

I went downstairs, sold the tickets and gave David his $1,200 hundred dollars.

When everyone was ready for the Super Bowl show we started down in the elevator together and waited in the circular driveway. As we were waiting, we saw Whitney Houston about to leave in her limo, looking like a young girl out with her dad, and surrounded by her female security guards all dressed up in what appeared to be men's suits.

She came towards Dennis and said, "You're the singingest motherfucker I ever heard, baby!" she bellowed. "You could turn out a fuckin place!"

Dennis looked at me as if to say, Damn, isn't she kinda rough? But he just said, "Thanks, Whitney. Are you staying for the game?" "Hell, no! I've got my lover waiting for me back home, baby. I'm getting a flight out of this motherfuckin place right after I finish singing the National Anthem."

She then got in her limo and left with her dad.

In the early 1970's, Isaac Hayes was on fire! Not only was he a platinum selling artist, he also wrote and produced for Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, etc. He helped create the "Stax" sound. Hayes was pulling in nearly five figures a week.

He kept a million dollar account in a local bank in Memphis, Tennessee. This is where he met a pretty black bank teller named, Mignon. They began dating, when Hayes proposed, he gifted her with eight engagement rings, one for each finger.

For her wedding gift, Hayes gave her a matching convertible Jaguar.

The couple resided in a mansion with maid service.

Hayes also became the spokesperson for a line of customized cadillac's named, "The Pimp Mobile."

By 1976, Hayes was no longer selling big, leading to the closure of his label, "Hot Buttered Soul."

Hayes and his wife were forced into bankruptcy, owing over $6 million.

Over the years, Isaac Hayes was able to recover financially.

Dwayne Wade's estranged wife sues Chicago lawyer, actress

http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/oo126/theybf/May%202010/40ab78e3.jpg

Hot damn! Just when we thought the Wade divorce was cooling off a bit, Siohvaughn went and turned it all the way up. Dwyane Wade's ex-Siohvaughn Wade filed a shocking (well, not to us) lawsuit today in Chicago. And it's against her ex's mistress Gabrielle Union!

Gabby and Dwyane tried to keep their under wrap for a while, but have recently gotten real comfortable as Dwyane's divorce became final. But now that the custody battle has heated up, Sioh's pulling out ALL the stops. The deets when you read on...
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Sioh is putting Gabby on blast sayin she seduced Dwyane and acted as his mistress in front of their two sons:

The estranged wife of Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade filed a lawsuit today on behalf of their two sons against a Chicago attorney who she says failed to act in the best interest in their children during the divorce.
Another lawsuit Siohvaughn Wade filed today on behalf of her 8-year-old and 2-year-old sons seeks damages against film actress Gabrielle Union on the grounds that she broke up the

In the first lawsuit, Siohvaughn Wade says lawyer Lester Barclay of the Dixon & Smith firm was appointed to advocate for the children during the divorce. Barclay ignored reports of abuse or neglect on the part of Dwyane Wade, the 2006 NBA Finals MVP and five-time All-Star, the lawsuit says.
The lawsuit against Union -- who has starred in the films "Bring It On," "Deliver Us from Eva," and "Bad Boys II" -- says Union "apparently decided to take her role" of seductress "beyond the films and into the home of a man ... in the presence of his two minor children."
The complaints were filed after Dwyane Wade recently asked a Miami court to grant him sole custody of the boys, adding to an already venomous and drawn-out divorce proceeding between Wade and his estranged wife.

katstacks is at it again

Bow Wow Gay?

So after MediaTakeOut posted about me possibly being pregnant with Bow Wow baby, Joseph Simmons made a joke saying our baby was gonna be named “KatDog” & Bow Wow took it offensive & started going back & forth with JoJo. But at the end like always Bow Wow said he got love for him & deleted his tweets but I saved them. Then all hell broke loose ’cause he pissed me off & I exposed on Twitter some things that were gonna be for the book like Bow Wow keeping a purple egg shaped vibrator under his red hat on the long table counter.

The 3rd time I saw him he had just came back from club Liv at the Fontainebleau in Miami drunk & texted me to come over sense I only live like 5 mins away in Williams Island building 6000. I had brought my own Hennessy bottle & I sat down & drank as he was on Twitter on his Apple Mac Book talking about Youtube ( funny how he introduced me to Youtube LOL Bet he regrets that ) after like an hour of me drinking & talking shit he told me to come in his room so I followed, he sat on the black leather chair & I pulled his pants down & started sucking him up , as soon as it got hard again I shoved it all down my throat & slid it up & down without pulling it out , he was squeezing my hair hard & untied my silver top from the back & started playing with my breasts. Minutes later he took off his shirt & got up & laid on the floor, it was so funny ’cause my ankle bracelet started beeping in red so I had to get up & put it to charge which made his dick soft. I took off all my clothes & started sucking him off again , he told me to come up closer & started finger popping me & then switched to my booty hole , he kept fingering me it felt weird but I kept my mouth shut. While I was licking on his balls he told me to go get this vibrator under the red hat on his long counter table so I did & it was purple & egg shaped , I was expecting for him to ask me to use to in front of him but instead he said to put it back on the floor & keep giving him head , after a while he told me to pick it back up & turn it on & rub the egg shaped vibrator against his ass … I couldn’t believe what he was asking me but I didn’t complain cause as a stripper I’ve had alot of customers ask me to this in the Champagne Rooms. He closed his eyes & started moaning “keep sucking it” he ordered as he pushed my head down to his dick, I started licking his sides making symbols with my toungue ” Put it in” so I stuck it half way which made his legs shake & he pushed my head down even deeper as his dick choked me I almost gagged , then he got up with the vibrator still up his ass & told me to turn around so I did & he spread my legs apart & put it in hard & deep & started beating it hard for like 10 mins until he came. He was so drunk he didn’t do his usual routine to go shower, instead he laid on the floor releaved breathing hard with the vibrator still inside so I took advanage & laid on his chest since he always treated me as “Wham Bam thank you Mam!” I started asking him questions about life and I asked him if he was gay or if it was just a fetish & he said he was confused & didn’t know how to answer the question. So we just laid on the floor until we passed out.

This is the reason why Bow Wow called me & had a long conversation with me about not exposing him.

I don't really see how this lawsuit could stand. This is just dumb stuff. That's gotta be the suckiest part about being a high paid celeb.

"According to additional documents, Siohvaughn Wade has also filed a defamation suit against her former long-time friend Andrea Williams because of “vicious lies” she spread which may have been a reason for the dissolution of her marriage. Andrea Williams served as a personal assistant to Siohvaughn for years before she was terminated in December 2007.

The “lies” which she claims her friend told were:

1. That she had a boyfriend during her marriage
2. She bought her “alleged” boyfriend a house, a Porsche and other expensive items
3. She became pregnant and had a child by that boyfriend which she told Dwayne Wade was his but isn’t
4. She contracted a “loathsome sexually transmitted disease” from this alleged boyfriend

According to the documents, she also believes her friend Andrea “acted in concert with others” including Dwyane Wade and her statements were made to ruin Siohvaughn’s reputation. Siohvaughn believes that Andrea spread these lies about her to more than one person based on the fact that Andrea made similar claims in a written statement filed in her and Dwyane’s divorce proceedings."

Kim Kardashian's Ex Damon Thomas: She Is A Plastic Surgery-Loving 'Fame Whore'

Bad news for Kim Kardashian. Her ex-husband Damon Thomas has given an interview to In Touch magazine saying she a fame-loving, lying, plastic surgery-loving cheat.
This comes weeks after their divorce papers leaked, in which Kardashian says Thomas hit her and was verbally abusive.
Below is the press release the magazine sent out, and below that is the magazine's cover. In addition to the allegations in the press release below, according to the cover lines on the magazine, Thomas says she also leaked X-rated photos of sister Kourtney and gossips about other sister Khloe's marriage to LA Laker Lamar Odom.

The press release:

"She can't write or sing or dance, so she does harmful things in order to validate herself in the media," Kim's ex-husband, Damon Thomas tells In Touch exclusively. "That's a fame-whore to me. It's just not cool at all."

Kim Kardashian wants the world to think that she's the perfect, supportive sister who would do anything for her family. But in an exclusive interview with In Touch, Kim's ex-husband says that behind closed doors, Kim has a very different -- and troubling -- set of priorities. "Kim is obsessed with fame," Kim's ex, music producer Damon Thomas, reveals, adding that even when he was in love with her, Kim struck him as the type of person who would step on anyone in order to get where she wanted -- including her sisters, Khloé and Kourtney. "She's jealous and competitive with her sisters," he shares. Desperate to be famous, Damon says, Kim doesn't seem to care whom she hurts -- whether it's friends, lovers or even her own family. "She can't write or sing or dance, so she does harmful things in order to validate herself in the media," he says. "That's a fame-whore to me. It's just not cool at all." And while a rep for the Kardashian sisters says they're "best friends and very supportive of one another," Damon disagrees. "Jealousy is a big thing" with Kim, he says, revealing that when he knew her, Kim would "do whatever it takes" in order to get ahead.
If Kim's sisters feel wronged by her, Damon says, they aren't the only ones. In fact, he believes Kim was behind the recent release of court papers, filed during their 2003 divorce, in which she claimed he beat her -- a claim he emphatically denies. "It's just absolutely not true," he says, adding that Kim never filed for a restraining order or a protective order throughout their marriage, and simply accused him of abuse in order to get "a lot of money" out of him. Damon says, he was the one who filed for divorce first. And he did it because Kim was cheating on him with "multiple guys." Kim has denied this claim. Still, Kim managed to lure Damon back into the relationship for a brief time, during which, he says, she convinced him to finance extravagant shopping sprees and extensive plastic surgery -- including a boob job and liposuction. "She wanted to have that lifestyle," he explains. "She wanted to be what she ultimately became." And Damon was willing to finance it -- until he saw her on the cover of a magazine on a date with Jennifer Lopez's ex, Cris Judd. "I saw my wife with another man, wearing the clothes that we had just bought after her lipo," he says. "It was not something as a husband you ever wanted to see."

Dwyane Wade claims he's "saddened" and "shocked" by a new lawsuit filed by his estranged wife -- in which she claims the NBA star is damaging their children by engaging in "sexual foreplay" with his new girlfriend in public.
http://ll-media.tmz.com/2010/05/05/0505-dwayne-gabrielle-exd-getty.jpg
The woman behind the lawsuit is Siohvaughn Wade -- the mother of Dwyane's two sons. Siohvaughn just filed a new lawsuit, on behalf of the two minor children (an 8-year-old and a 2-year-old) -- claiming Wade has engaged in "extreme and outrageous conduct" with his new GF Gabrielle Union in front of Wade's two children.

But Wade tells TMZ, "I am shocked that Siohvaughn Wade has brought this baseless and meritless lawsuit in the name of our children against Gabrielle Union."

Wade adds, "I am deeply saddened and disappointed that Siohvaughn has used our sons once again as pawns and is now lashing out at Gabrielle, who is an innocent party. It is clear that this is a desperate attempt to retaliate against me for seeking sole custody of our children and requesting that the court have her undergo a psychiatric examination."

Wade concludes, "My primary concern is my children and actions such as this only inflame the situation and are harmful to their well being.”

UPDATE: TMZ just spoke with a rep for Gabrielle Union who also rejects Siohvaughn's claims -- and apologizes to the court system for having to deal "with erroneous claims when there are real victims who should be receiving the legal attention they need."

Robin Givens To Iron Mike: “You Best Keep My Name Out Yo’ Mouth When Gossiping It Up With Those Old Broads From The View”
http://bossip.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/iron-mike-and-robin-givens-e1273149368938.jpg
Iron Mike Tyson is slated to make an appearance on “The View” tomorrow, and Robin Givens is pissed:

A source close to the ABC gabfest says that Tyson’s ex Robin Givens is livid that he’s appearing on the show. In fact, our insider claims that the actress reached out to the folks at the network — and requested that her name not be brought up on the program.
“When Robin got word that Mike would be on the show, she reacted immediately,” says our source. “She’d rather not have Mike rehash their rather tumultuous relationship. That was a bad time for her, and she’s moved on.” Unfortunately for Ms. Givens, she’ll indeed relive those memories should she tune in tomorrow.
“Barbara asked Mike Tyson several questions about their 1988 bombshell interview during [the] taping, which Tyson answered,” confirms a rep for the show.
A rep for Givens insists that the actress never contacted the network, saying: “Robin wishes Mike only the best.” But we hear Givens shouldn’t sweat it either way.
Says an on-set source: “Mike certainly discusses his relationship with Robin but keeps it short and sweet. The way they split up was so public that it can’t be ignored. But for the most part, Mike did the interview because he wanted to re-establish his relationship with Barbara.”

Janet Jackson has said is no longer interested in recording LPs as they no longer have the impact they once did and would rather make singles.
Her ex-boyfriend, producer Jermaine Dupri, said: "I can tell you that she's not working on an album. We just did the one song 'Nothing' for the 'Why Did I Get Married Too?' soundtrack.

"Last time I heard she really didn't want to do an album. She wanted to just do singles every once in a while. She's looked at the marketplace -albums are not really doing what they usually do when you put all this budget out there. Janet is just trying to figure out her landscape."

Janet is also concentrating on her acting career after recently starring in 'Why Did I Get Married Too?'

Jermaine added in an interview with Vibe.com: "Janet's cool. She has a lot of work going on that's keeping her in the right direction. The movie came out, which is the biggest Tyler Perry movie he has had thus far. It looks like her star power as an actress is still there. And she's about to do the other movie, 'For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf' with Mariah Carey, Kerry Washington and Whoopi Goldberg."

Chely Wright -- She's Coming Out

http://ll-media.tmz.com/2010/05/02/0501-chely-wright-ex-credit.jpg
TMZ has learned the big "coming out" announcement planned for this week will be ... country star Chely Wright.

There's been a big buzz over the last week as to which celeb was announcing he/she was gay ... we knew it was going to be unveiled in PEOPLE mag next week. But now TMZ knows for sure.

Wright has a book coming out this week as well -- it's called, "Like Me." And she has a CD coming out too -- called "Lifted Off the Ground."

The 39-year-old singer scored a #1 country song back in 1999 with "Single White Female," when she was named Academy of Country Music new artist of the year.

Wright is the first major country artist ever to come out. She has been romantically linked to a number of celebs, including Brad Paisley.

This is a big deal in the country world. Chely is rolling the dice on her career ... it's unclear how traditionally-conservative country fans will react.

Interesting ... she lists Howard Bragman as her publicist, who was the mastermind behind the Chaz Bono story.

Mystery solved.

Former Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor was arrested early this morning and will be charged with third-degree rape involving a 15-year-old girl at a hotel in Montebello, N.Y., according to police.

Bill Kostroun/Associated Press
Lawrence Taylor, at Giants Stadium in December, was suspended several times during his 13-year career for drug use and has admitted to battling alcohol.

The Journal News reported that the victim was a runaway from the Bronx who was brought to the Holiday Inn by a pimp, according to Ramapo police supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence. She was treated at a hospital.

“She was a runaway since March and there was a pimp involved,” St. Lawrence told the Journal News. “She got punched in the face. We’re not sure who did it.”

The police have scheduled a news conference for 3 p.m. to discuss the case and have said Taylor will be arraigned on third-degree rape charges this afternoon because the victim is a minor.

Taylor, 51, lists his residences as Pembroke Pines, Fla., but also owns a home in northern New Jersey.

From the new issue of Marie Claire:

* Jennifer Lopez on her exes: ‘The tabloids covered heavily, but when I look back I know those were real parts of my life. That’s what maybe confused people – it seemed like something that was made up and crazy, but there was real genuine feeling in all those relationships.’
[B]* On whether she follows her exes careers: ‘Would I see a movie of Ben’s? Sure! Why not? I haven’t seen him or talked to him in a while – our lives went in two very different directions. But I always wish him the best and I always thought he was a great person. And Sean – I’ve run into him once or twice, with Marc, and it’s always very friendly. He asks about the twins because he has twins too. Again, I always wish him the best.’
* Was there truth in rumours such as insisting her coffee has to be stirred the right way or her hotel room bed must be strewn with feathers: ‘No!’ she laughs. ‘I mean…. when you’re in our position and working as much as I was at that time people try to make you very comfortable, because you’re the worker – and they want you to keep working.’
* On whether her rear was ever insured for millions of dollars: ‘No! Though I thought that story was funny. In fact, we traced that story, and that was a rumour that started in London.’
* On whether she secretly loves the attention: ‘I honestly at that time was in such a work fog I didn’t even notice. Now that I’ve had time to sit I appreciate and love everything in a different way, and I think that’s because of the kids too. I just think of life in a different way: back then it was just about the grind.’
* On people’s obsession with her curves, how she feels about her body: ‘I was always very comfortable with who I was. Confident. I’ve never looked at myself [my body] in a negative way.’
* On food: ‘Just like anybody I try to watch what I eat – there’s no big science to it, which is what sucks. One of the good tricks is to have a goal – for me it may be getting in shape for a video shoot. The other is portion control. I love to eat everything and you pretty much can – a little piece of something fattening is not going to kill you. It’s when you eat the whole box that it’s going to kill you. If you can learn to not eat till your stomach feels full and gross, then you can pretty much control your life in that area.’
* On whether she’d have tried to have kids as a single mother if she’d not married again: ‘For me, I always had the fairy tale in my head where you get married, have kids and do all that kind of stuff,’ she says. ‘But I also think it’s a wonderful thing for women who haven’t had babies and get to a point in their lives and have that option. As a woman, I think it’s the best thing that can ever happen to you.’
* On Marc Anthony: ‘I think there was always this very strong chemistry with Marc and I from the very beginning, and he was always letting me know that,’ she says. ‘Since we first met I always felt that, if I got into trouble, he was the one person I could call and he would always be there. That to me is love in its purest form.’
* More on Marc Anothony: ‘We kind of did [get together] in the beginning,’ she admits. ‘We saw each other for a little bit, then kind of went our separate ways for many years because we were both in different places in our lives. Now we have the kind of love with no question mark.’

Nas to Kelis: I Can't Afford You!
http://ll-media.tmz.com/2010/05/05/0505-nas-kelis-ex-getty-01.jpg
Nas claims he can't afford to pay Kelis the child and spousal support ordered by the court.
As we first reported, a court ordered Nas last month to pay more than $87,000 in back spousal and child support. The judge also ordered Nas to pay Kelis $10,000 a month in spousal support to stay current. It's unclear how much Nas is required to pay in monthly child support.

Nas says in the new legal docs obtained by TMZ ... the judge predicated the order on Nas making $152,031 a month, but the rapper says he makes "substantially less than that amount."

Nas' lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, is asking the judge to take another look at the damage to Nas' wallet.

'Precious' little time -- or grace -- for fans
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/postpartisan/2010/05/03/gabourey_sidibe_oscar_m.jpg
It's always a let-down when folks you've admired or respected from afar turn out to be jerks in person. Case in point: Gabourey Sidibe, the Oscar-nominated actress in the title role of "Precious."
Y'all know how much I loved the powerful film from director Lee Daniels about an obese New York City teenager enduring unspeakable abuse at the hands of her parents. After Oscar night, I wrote, "I was rooting for Gabourey Sidibe for best actress. But the moment edgy comedienne Mo'Nique won the Oscar for supporting actress, I knew that the divine Sidibe was toast." But after meeting Sidibe at the White House Correspondents dinner and hearing about others' negative encounters with her, I'm putting down my pompoms.

I was thrilled to spot her at a table laughing uproariously with the man sitting to her right. "I know you're having a good time and I'm sorry to interrupt," I began. My next sentence didn't come out because Sidibe shouted over the din, "Yeah, come back in five minutes!" Thinking she was joking, I laughed and pretended to walk away. When I noticed that the look in her eyes meant she was serious, I walked back to her and said, "I just wanted to congratulate you on your nomination. I thought your performance was spectacular. I even wrote a column about it." After wishing her good luck, I rejoined my friends.

Back at the table, I sheepishly related the incident to my colleague Jo-Ann Armao. "Oh! She's horrible," Armao said in her wonderfully blunt way. She told me that she saw Sidibe at the pre-cocktails and told her that she'd seen "Precious" three times (an amazing emotional feat that only adds to my awe of Armao) and that she thought Sidibe's performance was "incandescent." What was Sidibe's response? "I guess I should say, 'Thank you.'"
At the MSNBC after party, the partner of a "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" producer said to me, "Look! There's Gabby Sidibe. I'm going to ask her to take a picture with me." I warned him, "She's mean." To which he said, "I don't care. I just want a picture." I didn't see what went down, but the dejected fan came back and said incredulously, "She said no." No doubt the constant interruptions and jostling are bothersome. Her ever-shrinking zone of privacy must be irksome, too. And there's no law that says Sidibe has to show grace to her fans or appreciation for their kind words. But a true star would.
At a dinner for the BET Honors back in January here in Washington, I had the pleasure of sitting next to Oscar-nominated actress and singer Queen Latifah. To be honest, I expected to get the Sidibe treatment. Instead, Latifah was as interesting as she was interested. She greeted fans who came over with a smile and warmth that made people happy they worked up the courage just to say hello. Latifah knows that without fans she has no career. Sidibe's behavior shows she has yet to learn that.

Uncle Luke Says "Fu%k-You" To VH1 Hip-Hop Honors

With VH1 placing a spotlight on the South for this year's Hip-Hop Honors and how they have been able to revolutionize music, there is one trendsetter that isn't such a happy camper.

Uncle Luke, known for his role as a member of the 2 Live Crew, is disappointed that he will not be honored for his work on the solo tip and he is only being showcased for his work in the group.

Speaking with VIBE, Luke expressed his frustrations of not being recognized for his contributions in the business aspect and his overall history.

"They want to honor Master P for his business savvy and they want to honor Jermaine Dupri for his business savvy and I'm kind of offended by that. We have basically been talking it out, but it's just so sad that people just don't know my history. They try to link me with a group and not see me as a businessman. Luke Records was the first independent black owned record company owned by a rapper. We were the first to distribute our own product. There's just so many first...For an organization like VH1 to try to say I'm just the first person to go to the Supreme Court over music censorship and be a part of the 2 Live Crew...I told them the other day, 'Just go f*ck yourself.' We were even the first to have a street team.”

He even added that he might be ready to just take his ball and go home if people aren't willing to play the game the right way.

“I don't want to be a part of it unless you honor what I've done in a proper way. I've never asked anyone to do anything. But when you ask me to be a part of something, I'm not going to let you disrespect me."

Ex-Supermodel in 'Serious Condition' after Crash

A former supermodel was rushed to a hospital last night after being involved in a car crash in Los Angeles, TMZ has learned.

A source close to model Beverly Peele -- who appeared on hundreds of magazine covers and in several music videos in the late '80s -- tells TMZ, Peele is currently in "very serious condition" at the UCLA Medical Center.

No word yet on the details of the accident.

Peele was arrested back in 2005 for identity theft and placed on three years probation.

Cops On the Hunt for Dwyane Wade's Wife
TMZ has learned law enforcement officials are currently on the hunt for Dwyane Wade's estranged wife -- after she missed a mandatory court appearance today.
http://ll-media.tmz.com/2010/05/10/0510-dwayne-wife-ex-getty-credit.jpg
Earlier today, Siohvaughn Wade had blown off a court hearing in Chicago regarding her ongoing divorce war with the Miami Heat star -- so the judge threatened to issue a body attachment order unless she showed up in the afternoon.

The deadline came and went -- and Siohvaughn never showed.

Now, the judge has issued the order -- which means cops will now seek her out, take her into custody ... and deliver her to the judge.

As we previously reported, Siohvaughn has made several sensational claims about Dwyane -- most recently accusing the NBA star of engaging in "sexual foreplay" with his new girlfriend in front of his kids.

Dwyane -- who was present at court today -- has denied all of Siohvaughn's allegations.

Singer Michel'le Files For CHILD SUPPORT From Suge Knight
May 15, 2009, 4:10 PM ET Suge Knight Is On The Hook
Associated PressThree years after filing for bankruptcy, the former head of Death Row Records, Marion “Suge” Knight, still has some accounts to settle.

We’re not talking about any hip-hop beefs; rather, the former heavy-hitter on the West Coast rap scene has been hit with a bill from his ex-wife for more than $40,000 in spousal and child support.

R&B singer Michel’le Toussaint is asking the bankruptcy official in charge of the Knight and Death Row bankruptcy estates to use the estates’ property to cover the $40,476 in court-ordered spousal and child support bills that have gone unpaid for the past three months. She also wants to ensure that, going forward, she receives $13,492 in child support each month.

Toussaint, who in April 1997 “agreed to marry Knight while he was serving a prison sentence for assault and battery,” is seeking support for “Child X,” whom she had with Knight in 2002. Toussaint says she’s heading to bankruptcy court since Knight isn’t believed to be earning any income to make the payments.

As for the $10,129 in spousal support she’s seeking, Toussaint (who says she once dated former Death Row-artist Dr. Dre) said Knight broke his promise to her to make these payments. Not only that - “Mr. Knight’s activities as husband has caused Toussaint to be embroiled in significant legal disputes,” she said.

The bankruptcy court is slated to consider the matter within the next several weeks.

Gucci Mane released from jail, promises to behave

ShareThis PrintE-mail
By Kristi E. Swartz
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

The buildup was larger than the real thing.

A small cadre of reporters and photographers gathered outside the Fulton County lockup on Rice Street at midnight waiting for Gucci Mane. The rapper, known in the Fulton County Courthouse as Radric Davis, had scheduled a news conference for early Wednesday morning, his first day of freedom after serving six months for violating probation on an assault charge.

Supporters, along with the news media, huddled outside. Around 12:30, Gucci Mane walked out and, with his nose buried in a piece of paper, quietly read a statement amid flashing lights and a sea of tape recorders.

"I have made some mistakes in my life that have hurt a lot of people who care about me. I have worked very hard to get past them, but those mistakes have brought me to where I am today, and they will not be repeated. These past six months have been a difficult time, but fortunately I have learned a great deal from my experience. I was able to do a great deal of soul searching; I am coming out with a new attitude towards life."

After pleading guilty to assault in 2005, he was sentenced to serve time for a probation violation -- failing to fulfill his court-ordered community service.

He went to jail right as his latest album, "The State vs. Radric Davis," which features Keyshia Cole, Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, Keri Hilson and Usher, was being released.

"I was forced to miss what should have been one of the proudest moments in my life. This is something that I will make sure never happens again. My time in jail was trying, but I grew from it and am now a stronger and better person. I want to continue on a positive track and truly focus on being a role model to my fans and my community."

The rapper said he has launched a new label, 1017 Brick Squad Records in affiliation with Asylum/Warner Brothers Records. He also announced a nationwide tour.

With that, he walked toward a black SUV, with cameras still following. As the SUV took off out of the parking lot, two women dressed in evening attire followed, holding each other with one saying, "He's out. He's really out."

Lil Wayne was caught with a charger and ear phones for an iPod or mp3 player during a search.

Lil Wayne has to face the music again - without his music.

Turns out, the rap mega-star was busted for "music contraband" - a charger and ear phones for an iPod or mp3 player.

"He was found in possession of a charger for an iPod or an MP3 player and unauthorized earphones," said a source. The music player was not found but officials are still looking.

The "Lollipop" rapper, who is serving time on Rikers Island for a gun charge, was caught during a search at 8 a.m.

He'll be charged with an infraction, the source said.

Correction investigators are trying to find out how Lil Wayne got the items.

Lil Wayne, aka Dwayne Carter, pleaded guilty in October after a semiautomatic pistol was found on his tour bus in 2007. He's serving a one-year sentence.

Kendra Wilkinson tried to leak her own tape

http://i42.tinypic.com/ipa6xe.jpg
Kendra Wilkinson dramatically threw her hand over her forehead and cried about how she was devastated to learn that a sex tape she made years ago is about to be made public through Vivid Entertainment. Kendra is trying to kill the tape before it gets released, but Radar is saying that she tried to peddle that same tape over a year ago.
Yes, Kendra tried to leak her own tape. In the industry they call that "A Paris Hilton." They also call it "A Kim Kardassian." And "A Pamela Anderson." And "A (insert the name of your favorite fuck tape star here)." A celebwhore trying to extend their 15 minutes by extending their vagina all over a penis on camera is a story as old as Larry King.
Radar got a hold of a few documents that prove that Kendra and her people were in the process of whoring the tape out to the highest bidder before she got married to Hank Baskett and birthed their baby. Kendra wanted complete control of how the tape would be edited before they sold it.
Who knows if Kendra is part of this latest leak, but if she is then she's putting on her fake game face, because her lawyer is still trying to wrestle the tape out of Vivid's permanently spermy hands. Vivid refuses to let go and plans to show Kendra in all her glory later this month.
Kendra probably got cold vag about the tape after marrying Hank and getting knocked up. Maybe she doesn't want her kid to see her giving a demonstration on how he was made (ugh). But honestly, knowing that everyone has seen his mother getting down on the peen isn't going to force him into a life of therapy and anti-depressants. Listening to Kendra's "

Tyler Lambert, Son of Dana Plato Different Strokes star, Commits Suicide
http://www.blogcdn.com/www.popeater.com/media/2010/05/platosplit.jpg
Tyler Lambert, son of 'Diff'rent Strokes' star Dana Plato, committed suicide on May 6, almost exactly 11 years after his mother ended her life. Lambert was 25.

The Tulsa, Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner told PopEater that Lambert (pictured in 1999) died from a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head. Toxicology tests are pending. Though the office had no more information at this time, the National Enquirer alleges Lambert suffered depression surrounding the anniversary of his mother's death and descended into a drug binge prior to his suicide.

In reports from a not-yet-online National Enquirer piece, Lambert's grandmother said, "Tyler wanted to be with his mother. His father Lanny (Lambert, Plato's ex-husband) is devastated."

Dana Plato committed suicide with prescription pills on May 8, 1999. She was 36 years old. In 2006, a 21-year-old Lambert filed a $20,000 wrongful death lawsuit against Plato's former fiance, claiming he contributed to Plato's death by "not giving immediate medical assistance or contacting medical personnel," court documents stated.

Singer CIARA had a brush with cops on Tuesday night (11May10) when a playback of her new songs prompted complaints from local residents.
The Goodies hitmaker was celebrating a pal's birthday in Los Angeles when they decided to continue the party in a nearby parking lot.

Ciara insisted it was the perfect time to unveil her latest recordings to her friends - but their raucous reactions resulted in a visit from police officers.
In a series of posts on her Twitter.com blog, she writes, "Tonight was sooo much fun!! I originally had plans to go to the Victoria Secret (sic) party, but that changed (at the) last minute... and I headed to celebrate my friend's birthday party! It was sooo much fun, and the funny thing to top it off was we all decided to go to a parking lot and play a few of the newest songs I recorded and we realized (sic) we had the music just a little too loud because the police came by and said they had received reports of loud music!! But thank God we had the music down in time, and there was no trouble with the po po (police)."

And the singer even managed to charm the two cops into posing for pictures: "We actually ended up taking photos together!!... Here's a pic of me and the police officers. Thought it (would) be fun to share my night with u (sic)!"

Wade's Childhood Friend Sues Him For 25 Mil

This week Dwyane Wade has gone from one ugly legal situation to another. In the latest chapter of his three-year custody battle with estranged wife Siohvaughn Wade, Mrs. Wade was briefly jailed Tuesday after not showing up for two scheduled court appearances on Monday.
http://simg.sportsbybrooks.com/0/3/03680ec9d085f1cf9297a0e15062a5e7_dwyanewadelebronj ames.jpg
Mr. Wade is seeking full custody of his two young boys and wants Mrs. Wade to undergo a court-ordered psychiatric examination. Meanwhile, last week Siohvaughn Wade filed a lawsuit against Dwyane Wade’s current girlfriend Gabrielle Union, claiming Union and her husband engaged in “sexual foreplay” near the couple’s children.
Can’t get any worse than that for Dwyane Wade, right?
Depending on your perspective, it can.

Today Wade was back in court for jury selection in a $25 million breach-of-contract lawsuit filed against him by two former partners in a failed restaurant venture.
The suit was actually originally filed in July, 2008, by West Palm Beach restaurant developer Mark Rodberg and a British national named Richard von Houtman.
Rodberg and von Houtman claim that Wade didn’t fulfilling his marketing obligations in what was to eventually be a national chain of restaurants called D. Wade’s Place. That marketing deal reportedly included, “four visits a year (by Wade) in each Florida restaurant, plus the VIP openings. In exchange, Wade was to be paid $1 million, plus a 10 percent stake.”
So where does the $25 million figure come from? From Jose Lambiet of the PALM BEACH POST in 2008:

(Rodberg and von Houtman) already spent millions (on the restaurant locations). Some of the money went to buy the 13 Florida places, including nine existing Hops microbreweries to be transformed into D. Wade’s.
Some more cash went to buying a $350,000-plus Rolls-Royce with Wade’s Heat number, 3, etched in the center of the wheels. Some more cash, $30,000, was used to throw Wade a world-class birthday bash in January.
So far, however, only two restaurants were opened: a small one in Boca; the other, a large place in Fort Lauderdale. Both were closed within weeks. And work at the chain’s flagship restaurant in Aventura is more than six months late. Construction, however, is winding down, and the place is supposed to open before the end of the year, despite the lawsuit.
Word is that Rodberg and Von Houtman spent nearly $3.5 million on that restaurant alone.

The Aventura location never opened.
That aforementioned report from Lambiet is von Houtman’s side of the story.
The same von Houtman who Gus Garcia-Roberts of the MIAMI NEW TIMES reported in July, 2009:
Was sued by “American Express for $440,514.96 that the company claims he owes on a black, or no-limit, card issued to him in 2006.”
Had his “Isle of Venice crib, which he purchased in 2007 for $1.85 million,” foreclosed on.
Claims to have inherited “a fortune from his family: His mother, Dorothy, was heiress to the Blue Bonnet margarine company (New Times was unable to verify that claim with ConAgra Foods, the conglomerate that now owns the brand).”
Alternately claims he made his money as a commodities trader brokering, “jet fuel and oil deals with foreign countries,” and as “a real estate speculator working for a Dutch businessman named Klaas Bruinsma. Nicknamed ‘The Minister,’ Netherlands-born Bruinsma was Europe’s most notorious Mob boss in the 1980s, orchestrating the import of hundreds of tons of hashish from Pakistan to Europe. U.S. Customs seized von Houtman’s Bruinsma-funded Boca house because it had been purchased with proceeds from drug trafficking.”
And finally: “He’s been married five times and has a long, court-recorded history of violence against women. After one wild episode in the late 1990s, he was convicted of battery on three Palm Beach County cops.”
von Houtman is the confidence man who brokered the entire Wade restaurant venture.
So how the hell did a figure as notorious as von Houtman pull off the deal that he did with Wade? He went through Wade’s childhood buddy and “business manager,” Marcus Andrews.
More from the NEW TIMES:

The prescription bottle that was in Sean Levert's pocket when he was admitted to the county jail.

Lawyers for the county have asked that an attorney representing the company be removed from
the case after they felt his questioning of witnesses was designed to shift blame from the company to the county.

Sean LevertLevert's widow sued the county and Midwest Medical Staffing Inc. She says negligence
led to her husband's death,
and her suit named several county staff members and Midwest Medical doctors as defendants.

Levert surrendered a jar of Xanax when he was brought to the jail on March 24, 2008. The jail staff was never a
ble to reach Levert's private doctor to confirm the prescription, and the singer was never seen by a jail psychiatrist
who could have made an independent assessment of his mental health.

Levert began to hallucinate in jail and had trouble breathing. He was held in a restraint chair before dying.

Last fall, the jail adopted a policy that if a prescription cannot be verified, the inmates are to be scheduled
to see a psychiatrist by the following day.

Beyonce Accused of Stealing from Chrisette Michelle
http://i43.tinypic.com/vg7m38.jpg
Call Jim Carey because he may have competition if he ever wants to
make "Liar Liar 2." It looks like Beyonce is having a bit of a hard time telling the truth.

Ms. Jay-Z has been called out by two different R&B ladies for not writing songs
she claims are hers. According to Rap-Up magazine, Chrisette Michele revealed that
Beyonce's hit single "Ego" was originally meant for her own album "Epiphany" but she
decided to hand it over to the Queen B. And here is the shady part: The track is credited
to producer Elvis Williams, Beyonce Knowles and Harold Lilly ... not vocal Goddess Chrisette.

Michele says, "It was really scary for me to release my pen because I had written my first
album myself. You don't know if they're going to be able to capture your voice the same way
that you captured it yourself." Oh Sasha Fierce, that's just not nice, now is it?

The day before that story broke, a video blog post (I think the kids are calling them vlogs,
who the hell knows) by Destiny's Child ex-member Michelle Williams and producer Rico Love
was published as well. The two discussed the songwriting and production surrounding Michelle's
"Unexpected" LP, which seemed super normal. Until they brought up Beyonce's "Sweet Dreams"
track and various other songs that Rico wrote for her "I Am ... Sasha Fierce" album.

Rico said to Michelle, "I did 'Radio' and 'Scared Of Lonely,' but I co-wrote 'Scared Of Lonely' with
Solange, Lashawn Daniels, and Crystile." Wait ... you didn't say Beyonce, Rico? But ASCAP has
her name on the song's credits. You little sneaky wig-wearing diva. All it takes is a few measly
scraps of your millions, and these folks are happy to give you a good track.

If she claims she wrote the songs, then thats a problem. As long as she gave credit, paid royalties, it's cool. Nothing against her as an artist or her talent, but says a lot about her business dealings.

Ms. Beverly v. Chris Brown's Publicist
7:16 AM (16 minutes ago)Yet Another Reason Why Chris Brown Needs A New Publicistfrom Ozone Magazine by Julia Beverly

There are times when I absolutely love my job, and other times when it simply isn’t worth the bullshit. I’m gonna walk you through some of the bullshit. Background on me – I’ve been shooting at events for almost 10 years. Built OZONE from the ground up. Did T-Pain’s first photo shoot. Did Plies’ first photo shoot and introduced him to the country at the first OZONE Awards. Did Jeezy’s first interview. The list goes on and on. But I digress…

Earlier this week, I saw a little clip online of Chris Brown being interviewed on a Richmond TV station talking about his star-studded “benefit” concert. The lineup (Trey Songz, Bow Wow, Keri Hilson, Mario etc) sounded good and it’s been a while since I’ve been to Richmond so I figured it was past due for OZONE to show Virginia some love. Plus, it was for a good cause. So, despite the mounds of paperwork on my desk and millions of other things I could spend my Saturday doing, I decided to dedicate my day to specifically flying out to Richmond to cover Chris Brown’s event. Turns out that was a terrible idea and a complete waste of time.

Yesterday, my contact in VA directed me to the publicist, Sarah Cunningham (to be fair, I’m not sure if she is CB’s official publicist or just the publicist for that event). I remembered her and her stank attitude from the dozen unreturned emails I sent her about setting up a Drake interview and the one phone call in which she informed me that he was far too busy to be interviewed by a little unimportant magazine like OZONE (I’m paraphrasing). Sarah sounded irritated when I called and told me to send an email. I did, and received a response that there would be a media pass waiting for me.

So after landing on the same flight as Trey Songz (who was, as usual, a gentleman, helping a lil old lady with her luggage) I went to the show and picked up my media pass and walked to “the pit” (the area in front of the stage) with the other photographers. No one gave me any rules or regulations on what I was or wasn’t supposed to be doing. As soon as I walked in, CB’s road manager introduced himself & said he reads Ozone & he was real cool. He didn’t say “don’t take any pictures of CB.” Bow Wow was performing. I took a few photos and then security came around and said we were only allowed to shoot on song. So I stopped shooting and stepped to the side of the stage with all the other photographers and a few dozen other people.

One of those people was Tyga, who’s interview appears in the latest issue of Ozone with his YM labelmate Lil Wayne on the cover. So I walk over and hand Tyga a copy of the magazine (and he greeted me, having recognized me from however many YM video shoots). It’s so dark that at first I don’t even notice the guy sitting next to Tyga is Chris Brown. So I ask Tyga if he wants to take a picture with CB. He leans over and asks and CB shakes his head no. I figured he was getting ready to go on stage and didn’t want to be distracted or whatever. No big deal. I’ve always respected artists’ wishes..never been a paparazzi (even though it is HIS benefit concert..so you’d think he’d be posing for pics).

My camera battery is running low so I walk into the back in the little lounge and plug in my backup battery to charge back up. It’s then that I get a text from Sarah the Publicist; “Julia, you are not permitted to shoot side of stage or artists when not on stage.” I blink and read it again, and it still says the same thing. Are you fucking kidding me? Aside from CB, I know most of the other artists..at least well enough to speak and let them decide for themselves if they feel like posing for a picture or not.

I walk back to the same spot where dozens of people (with credentials like mine) are watching Bow Wow finish his set. I’m not taking pictures or even holding my camera up. An overweight police officer feels the need to single me out and tell me that I have to stand on the other side of the barricade. Bow Wow’s homeboy Bart sees me and walks off the stage to say whassup. I give him a few copies of OZONE (which also features an interview with Bow Wow). Sarah the Publicist walks over to me and yells over the music, so I can barely hear, something about not being allowed to give out magazines. So if an artist, a grown man, wants a free copy of a product which I, a grown woman, produce, we’re not allowed to make that exchange because Sarah the Publicist says so? Okay.

She then says she got a “complaint” about me trying to take a picture of CB. A complaint? Seriously? A – It’s HIS event. B – You’re his PUBLICIST. I own a magazine. Shouldn’t you be trying to coordinate photo ops? C – You GAVE me a media pass. D – He said he didn’t want to take a pic so I shrugged and kept it moving. Am I missing something here? What is there to complain about?

At the police officer’s insistence I move outside of the barrier (he does not bother any of the 30+ guys standing next to me). After Bow Wow finishes his set, I walk back towards the same lounge I just left from to retrieve my camera battery. The overweight cop shoves me backwards. So, the media pass was good to access that area 10 minutes ago but now it’s no good? Secondly, I’m a 125lb female. Is that much physical force really necessary to restrain me?

Sarah the Publicist watches the police officer shove me and shrugs. I tell her I’m trying to get my camera battery back. She tells the police to escort me out. Two big fat ass police officers literally pick me up and DRAG me through the crowd, all the way to the bleachers, to the top, past thousands of VCU students. Seriously? The whole situation was extremely, extremely disrespectful.

I work hard. I bust my ass to produce a magazine and stay on the road constantly covering events, and the bulk of the artists I come across show LOVE. I don’t deserve to be treated like this. I damn sure don’t deserve to be disrespected publicly for trying to help YOU. That’s why I don’t fuck with publicists and if CB doesn’t fuck with the media he’s never going to overcome the cloud that’s been overshadowing his career since the Rihanna incident. And to think I was defending him when people asked me, “Why are you supporting that womanbeater and covering his event?” Should have listened to them. I’m not just “media” anyway. I’m a CEO and an executive and I go to events to network and make contacts like any professional would (which I have been doing 24/7 for years). Publicists need to stop acting so high & mighty & treating people like shit and work WITH the media instead of acting like we’re the enemy and corraling us like herds of cattle. It’s this type of stuff that makes me not wanna do this anymore. It seems that I’m not only one who has a problem with Chris Brown’s people, either. If you’re in the Richmond area you can tune into Power 92 on Monday at noon to hear more on this situation.

I know, when you sell somebody a record, techinically they "OWN" that record, they purchased it, they don't have to put your name on it, or give you royalties.... that's an aspect of a contract you have to negotiate, and typically nobody will say anything unless some bad blood or jealousy arise. she didn't really steal shit, she paid for the song.

she didn't produce or engineer it either and still accepts the award, so it's pretty much the same difference.........

Rapper Yung Hott Killed

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A rapper known as Yung Hott was killed during a Saturday evening shooting spree that erupted while he made a video in his hometown, Griffin police said.
http://www.ajc.com/multimedia/dynamic/00601/jerode-paige_601624l.jpg
Rapper Yung Hott, whose real name is Jerode Paige, was shot and killed Saturday night while filming a video.

One accused shooter is still on the loose, police said.

Jerode Paige died at the scene of the quadruple shooting in which about 20 rounds were fired, according to Lt. Sam Parks. Three others, including a 5-year-old girl, suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police pulled over a white Chrysler after the shooting and detained three suspects, WSB-TV reported. The investigation is continuing.

The additional shooting victims included a 5-year-old girl who was playing in a toy car in her yard. The child suffered a wound to her left foot. She was treated at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston and released Sunday.

Two of the shooting victims were treated at Spalding Regional Hospital, then transferred to police custody. They are being called "persons of interest."

The incident happened around 6 p.m. near the intersection of Tinsley and Fourth streets, police said.

Paige, 27, was filming his first video when the shooting began. His uncle, Kenny Paige, was among 150 to 200 people who were working on the video or watching when the gunfire erupted.

"I mean, it was broad daylight," Kenny Paige told the AJC. "I heard a lot of gunshots and people scattered."

Paige was shot in the head, his uncle said.

The video was to accompany Paige's first single, which had recently been played on an Atlanta radio station, according to Sid Cooper, a producer who had worked with the rapper.

"He had some good music," Cooper told the AJC. “His music was real. Everything he talked about in his music he did.”

Friends said Paige was trying to turn his life around after a past that included prison. Paige was released from Wheeler Correctional Facility in central Georgia in June and was on parole, according to state Department of Corrections online records. He served prison time for a variety of drug offenses as well as possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

"He was on the right track," Cooper said.

Paige's father was beaten to death at age 28, and Paige was raised by his grandmother in Griffin, another uncle, Gary Paige, told the AJC. Paige was pursuing his music career with a single-minded purpose. He was again living with his grandmother.

"He got out [of prison] and he said he wasn't going to let anybody stop him from getting his career," Gary Paige said. "He wanted to give his grandmother a lot. He was really into his music and he wanted to show his grandmother he had the ability to be somebody."

Paige made a point of saying he was from Griffin, not Atlanta.
"He wanted everybody to know he was from a little town that had a lot of talent," Gary Paige said.

Paige's uncles said they believe he was targeted but had no idea why.

New 2Pac Album to be Released

http://www.andpop.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/2pac-215x300.jpg
It’s been three years since he last released something, which by today’s standards makes a new record long overdue. Oh yeah, and he’s dead. Fourteen years after his death, 2Pac is coming out with another new album. WIDEawake Entertainment Group, who acquired the label that helped 2Pac rise to fame, Death Row Records, last year, is planning on putting out a new album from the late rapper, reports CHARTattack.com.
John Payne, president of WIDEawake, told Vibe magazine that the new record will feature songs recorded from 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me era.
“This is unreleased 2Pac… no remastering or remixing,” he said, continuing, “I believe that these songs could have been 2Pac’s next record if he were still alive.”
So far, the new album doesn’t have a release date, but if you’re in the mood for some 2Pac, you’ve got some options: You can check out one of the six albums that were released before his death in 1996, or one of the seventeen studio albums, live records, rarities collections, and of course the greatest hits records that have been released after he died.

(VIBE.COM) Lil Wayne may be locked in Rikers Island away from the industry, but that's not stopping some of his associates from handling business with him.

Grammy award-winning producer, Shondrae "Bangladesh" Crawford has a bone to pick with Mr. Dwayne Carter. A $500,000 bone.

"I don't f**k with [Lil Wayne]... and you can print that," Bangladesh told VIBE, when asked if fans should anticipate a reunion come his 2011 release. "Cash Money don’t pay royalties. The Carter III, [is] his biggest album probably because of “A Millie.” [But] you have to sue these guys so that they pay up."

The Atlanta beatmaker disclosed that he is suing for an estimated 500 Gs in owed royalty checks for his work on "A Millie," one of Wayne's most revered records of all time. A single that earned him Best Rap Solo Performance at the 2009 Grammy's and gave The Carter III ammunition to sell a million records it's first week of release in June 2008.

"It's [Wayne and Baby's] responsibility to pay [me] because all the money from album sales goes to Cash Money. I get checks from Sony for Beyoncé, checks from different labels for different artists, it just comes to you. You don’t have to call them, sue them and all that junk. This is what you're owed."

He continues, "I don’t really give a f**k about [Wayne]. I can't give a f**k about somebody that don’t give a f**k about my situation, I have kids. In the hood, people get killed for ten dollars. I couldn’t imagine owing someone hundreds of thousands of dollars and just walking around in front of them. I'm so confident in myself, that I don’t need Lil Wayne. There's gonna be so many opportunities. I can create a Lil Wayne."

A nominee for VIBE's Best Producer of All-Time, Bangladesh went on to explain the corrupted process of Cash Money, centering on Baby.

"This is why Manny Fresh don’t f**k with [Cash Money] because he never got any royalty money. That’s why Baby can go around flaunting this cash, because that’s everyone else’s money... It's not even Wayne's fault. Wayne is not getting money. He is given money, he's not getting money. If Baby gets a million dollars he’ll buy Wayne a Phantom, but that’s in Cash Money's name. That 14-bedroom mansion isn’t Wayne shit," he says. "That’s why he have his own company, because he was trying to leave Cash Money and the only thing that would keep him there was [if they] gave him his own thing. But Baby still controls that. All those Young Money artists don’t even know that they not getting royalty money."

And the beat goes on. According to the New York Post, fellow Carter III producer, Jim Jonsin—responsible for Wayne's infectious lead single, "Lollipop"—filed a $500,000 lawsuit against Wayne on April 20 for missing royalty payments. In May 2009, Dallas production duo Play-n-Skillz also mentioned to a local radio station that they were yet to reap any monetary benefits from their work on Wayne's third single featuring, T-Pain, "Got Money."

Bangladesh, who secured his placement on The Carter III when his friend and Young Money artist, Shanell suggested the "A Milli" beat to Wayne, recalls the first time he met self-proclaimed Best Rapper Alive. "Wayne is a different guy. I first stepped to him years ago. Don’t know if he was on drugs, but he ignored me," Bang says. "This was before 'A Milli.' I didn’t sweat it because I told myself that one day, I aint gotta say nothing, he's gonna like the music." The premonition came to life indeed. However, it's been almost two years since "A Milli" made it's game-changing impact and Bang says the New Orleans MC has still never uttered a 'Thank you' his way.

"This industry is a devilish game. And these are devils controlling the game," says Bangladesh who swears by self-rule. "I don’t wanna be caught up in it. I don’t wanna break bred with devils."

A rep for Lil Wayne did not respond to a request for comment.

Cameron Crowe set to direct Marvin Gaye biopic
Terrence Howard to play soul singer
May 17, 2010

Cameron Crowe could be set to make his first film in five years, a biopic on soul legend Marvin Gaye. The Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous director has had a Marvin Gaye project in development for over three years, but it finally looks set to happen, according to a report in Deadline, with Terrence Howard lined up to play the part.

Will Smith had previously been linked to the project, but turned the role down after “much discussion” with Crowe and producer Scott Rudlin.

“Nothing’s been signed on paper yet,” Howard told Deadline at Cannes. “Everybody who loves music will hate me if I get this one wrong.”

Motown founder Berry Gordy Jr. is supporting the project, which has secured the rights to Gaye's music.

Yet Crowe might face competition with competing projects, with The Playlist Nation reporting that it’s one of several planned biopics - F. Gary Gray is directing one with Jesse L. Martin and James Gandolfini attached that may shoot later this year.

Newly Crowned Miss USA In Stripper pole pic controversy?
not even 24 hours after she won the crown, controversy stirs as pictures of Rima Fakih arise.

Following Fakih's win at Sunday's 59th Annual Miss USA Pageant in Las Vegas on Sunday, the Mojo In the Morning radio show posted risqué photos of the Dearborn, Mich., resident participating in the radio show's 1997 contest. The photos show Fakih pole dancing and with dollar bills in her bra. According to the radio station's website, producers of the show were contacted by Miss Universe representatives requesting more photographs and information regarding Fakih's involvement in the contest. When asked if Fakih's crown was in danger because of the photos, pageant representatives would not comment, the site said. Mojo, the host of the show, says the photos have been on the site for three years and no further pictures will be released. He added that he hopes that the incident will not result in the 24-year-old having to relinquish her crown. "It would be foolish to consider anyone other than Rima to represent the USA. The photos taken from our website are no more provocative than those on the Miss USA website," the radio host said. This year's pageant contestants from can also be seen on the Miss USA website wearing lingerie.
A call and email to the Miss Universe Organization were not immediately returned.

John Travolta’s Dogs Killed In Airport Accident

The “Pulp Fiction” actor’s pets were killed last Thursday morning at Bangor International Airport in Maine as the Travolta family arrived to spend time at their nearby property.

According to a statement, "At approximately 1 a.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2010, an airplane carrying members of the John Travolta family landed at BIA.”

"While there, two small dogs were taken for a walk by someone who is not a family member. An airport service pickup truck was approaching the airplane to service the plane and did not see the dogs.”

"Unfortunately, the dogs were struck and killed. The airport is investigating the accident. Out of respect for the family's privacy, the city will make no further comment."

Ya boy David Arquette is a die hard Lakers fan and last night as his Lake show beat down the Phoenix Suns (Los Suns) who would have thought an off the court fight would break out. Seems as though a fellow Lakers fan got into it with a security guard and Arquette being a season ticket holder and has been cool with all the security jumped into the scuffle and broke up the fight. Ya boy David Arquette is gangsta with it, he could have turned around and went his way but ya boy threw down with the security. Props to David Arquette. Take a look as Arquette comes to the aid of Staples Center security.

Ciara’s ‘Ride’ video is banned by BET…
http://toyaz-world.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/ciara-ride.png
Fans of R&B chanteuse Ciara are FUMING because BET are refusing to play her ‘Ride’ music video due to it being too risque. Say what? This was noted when Ciara went on Ustream last week, and her Grandmother tried to vent about it. Anyway, the fans are not happy and have created an online petition which reads:

“We have been recently notified that Ciara’s new Music Video ‘Ride’ is not being showed on B.E.T because it’s too sexual. Note that they play Trey Songz ‘Invented sex’ [where he is having sex with a woman in the video] and Trey Songz ‘Neighbors Know My Name’ [Having sex with DIFFERENT woman]. I think that B.E.T is over analyzing this, or is just being disrespectful to Ciara. MTV and VH1 is playing ‘Ride’ and so are other stations. What are you B.E.T going to do about this because as a fan and Representative of Ciara you are being UNFAIR!”

It might be unfair but BET have always had their questionable moments, and it’s been that way for years, so, in all honestly, this does not surprise me. My main concern would be if MTV were the ones who were boycotting the video. MTV matters the most and are far more important than any other music network in the world. As long as she’s recieving support from them, then this BET fiasco really isn’t that much of a big deal.

Amare Stoudemire's mother Arrested

Phoenix Suns forward Amare Stoudemire's mother was arrested on Saturday in Scottsdale, Ariz., for failing to have an ignition interlock device on her vehicle, according to a report in the Arizona Republic.

Carrie Mae Stoudemire, 54, was stopped at 3:25 p.m. after her Lincoln Navigator was straddling two lanes and going 60 mph, according to the Scottsdale police report. Her eyes were "watery and glassy," according to the officer.

Carrie Stoudemire told the officer the Navigator was rented and she was unaware she needed to have an ignition interlock device on all of her vehicles. She added that she was on her way to an alcohol class.

An ignition interlock device prevents a vehicle from being started if the driver's blood alcohol content, which is collected by exhaling into the device, registers above a pre-set level.

Police said Carrie Stoudemire's driver's license says she must have the device on her vehicles until Oct. 30.

After Carrie Stoudemire refused to participate in a field sobriety test, the officer handcuffed her and put her in the back seat of his patrol car.

According to the report, Amare Stoudemire and another man arrived at the scene a few minutes later. Carrie Stoudemire began to yell "Amar'e!" and asked for a lawyer.

Police said Carrie Stoudemire was charged with speeding, operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device and failure to drive in a single lane. She was booked into the Scottsdale jail and later released.

Carrie Stoudemire has been in and out of jail throughout Stoudemire's life for charges ranging from drunken driving to drug possession to prostitution. In 2006, she was sentenced to three years in prison in Arizona for aggravated DUI following an accident.

BET`s Stament on Why They Nominated Justin Bieber

Baby-faced Canadian teen idol Justin Bieber scored a nomination on Tuesday for a 2010 Black Entertainment Television award.

Bieber, 16, will compete in the best new artist category and was nominated for the awards alongside such prominent black performers as rapper Jay-Z, who led the field with five nominations, and his wife Beyonce, who scored four.

The BET Awards typically honor black singers, actors, actresses and athletes, but officials described Bieber as a cross-over artist.

"Bieber has crossed the color boundaries the same way that hip-hop has crossed the boundaries the other way for a number of years," said Stephen Hill, BET's President of Music Programing and Specials. The awards will be held on Los Angeles on June 27.

Jay-Z's five nominations included nods for best male hip hop artist, best collaboration and viewers' choice as well as two nominations for video of the year.

Tied with Beyonce with four nominations were singers Alicia Keys, Trey Songz and Canadian Melanie Fiona, who will compete with Bieber and rapper Drake's group Young Money in the best new artist category.

Bieber was signed to a music label with the help of Usher, who drew a nomination for best male rhythm and blues artist.

"He's had rhythm in his music," said Hill. "He makes the type of music our audience likes."

Bieber, who hails from a small Canadian town, has become a global sensation after his mother posted videos of him singing on YouTube. His latest album, "My World 2.0," debuted at No.1 on the Billboard charts in March.

A division of Viacom, BET is the leading television network for African-American audiences.

Janet Jackson Romancing Wealthy Businessman From Qatar

http://dubaisession.com/wp-content/uploads/Janet-Wissam.JPG
it's been the "hot" news in Qatar for a while Janet Jackson and her relationship with one of the richest businessmen in Qatar, Wisam Al Mana

R&B superstar Janet Jackson has found love with a wealthy businessman from Qatar, according to reports. The "Nasty" hitmaker split from her longtime boyfriend, producer Jermaine Dupri, last summer after seven years of dating. But Jackson, 43, has now moved on and started a romance with 35-year-old industrialist Wissam Al Mana, reports U.S. news show The Insider.

Though Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri have split, they remain good friends. The two musicians recently reunited for the making of soundtrack for her new movie "Why Did I Get Married Too?" which also stars Jill Scott, Sharon Leal and Malik Yoba.

"I'm not the type of girl that stays in touch with your ex like that," Janet previously said. "Jermaine is one of my best friends. I love him to death. We're still connected. We're still good friends. We still talk." And she is quick to add, "We're there for one another. I think it will remain that way for the rest of my life."

Dwayne Bowe says too much (NFL Groupies)
ESPN The Magazine has a feature called "Postcards from the Edge." In it, pro athletes provide anecdotes regarding their lives.

In the latest issue, which hits newsstands Friday, Chiefs receiver Dwayne Bowe possibly says too much.

"My rookie year, we were playing in San Diego," Bowe says. "You hear stories about groupies hanging out in hotel lobbies, but some of my teammates had it set up so there was a girl in every room. The older guys get on MySpace and Facebook a week before we go to a city; when a pretty one writes back, they arrange to fly her in three or four days in advance. They call it importing."

(The federal government possibly would call it something else.)

"Younger guys don't have the money to do it," Bowe added. "Anyway, these girls had the whole top floor. They know everything about us -- first and last names, sisters and brothers, salary. This one girl was talking to me like she'd known me for years. 'Hey, D-Bowe, how's Grandma?' I'm like, 'How do you know my grandma?' She knew that I talk about her every time I'm interviewed for a story.

"I told her I had a girlfriend, but she didn't care. She was wearing my jersey, sitting in my lap, making it look like we knew each other. Then she took a picture and put it on Facebook. That almost got me in trouble."

Bowe may have avoided trouble that time. But we've got a feeling that trouble will be finding him now.

Megan Fox Dropped From 'Transformers 3'
http://i42.tinypic.com/aw7wqq.jpg
Megan Fox and Michael Bay famously exchanged heated words around the release of "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" last summer, with the actress comparing the director to Hitler and the director saying the actress "still has a lot of growing up to do."
Despite their contentious relationship, the pair seemed set to reunite this summer for a third "Transformers" flick. But now, in a stunning reversal, Fox has been dropped from the movie.
Deadline.com broke the story that Paramount has declined to pick up Fox's contractual option for "Transformers 3" and that giving star Shia LaBeouf a "new love interest makes more sense for the story," according to an unnamed source.
A rep for Paramount confirmed to MTV News that the studio did not renew Fox's option.
MTV News had heard whispers that the filmmakers had been considering writing Fox out of the script, but nothing seemed to have come of it until now. Di Bonaventura told MTV News in April that there was no trouble in the world of "Transformers" when it came to Fox and Bay's relationship.
"Michael and Megan get along great," he told us. "Like in any creative endeavor, there's not always total agreement. Michael doesn't agree on everything with me or Shia. He's the captain of the ship. But I think that's much ado about nothing. I even read that we were thinking about not casting her. Come on! It's so silly. As though we would want to mess with such a successful combination."

Christina Aguilera CANCELS Summer Tour As Single Tanks
http://i.huffpost.com/gen/168923/thumbs/s-CHRISTINA-AGUILERA-large.jpg
Christina Aguilera has canceled her 20-date summer tour, which was scheduled to begin in July.
Live Nation, the tour's promoter, released the following statement:

"Christina Aguilera's summer tour has been moved to 2011 due to prior commitments that the singer had made to her film, 'Burlesque,' and to the promotion of her new album, 'Bionic.' The singer felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour dates this wasn't possible."

Could poor ticket sales be the real reason?

"Not Myself Tonight," the first single off Christina's new album, charted at a disappointing 23. The video for the song (scroll down to watch) was widely panned and regarded as an oversexed Gaga ripoff.

Christina's new album will be released June 8 but has already been leaked in full. 'Bionic' is her first album since she took time off to have her son, and she has been working on it since 2008.

'Burlesque,' a musical costarring Cher, is due out in November. The singer recently posed nude for German GQ. Just last week Christina told Popeater she planned to wow her fans on her upcoming tour.

"My plan, as I have done in the past, is not to disappoint and to put on a show that my fans will love," she said. "Fans will have to come see the show to find out what we have in store."

Sisqo's 14 y/o BM Wants Him to Meet Son & Tells All
A Swiss single-mother today claimed she gave birth to Big Brother star Sisqo's secret lovechild.
The 25-year-old beauty says she sneaked into a club where the Thong Song star grabbed her arm and lured her back to his hotel without asking her age.
Jamila Farid, who lives in Zurich with son Ian, now ten, says she became pregnant after an illicit romp with the singer, now 31, when she was just 14.
http://i46.tinypic.com/op0o6u.jpg
She now wants Sisqo to admit he is the father and to fulfil his responsibilities.
Jamila, who was recently made redundant from her admin job, claims Sisqo never mentioned contraception before their one-night stand at the four star Intercontinental 11 years ago.
And she says the singer, real name Mark Althavean Andrews, has refused numerous times to take a DNA test - forcing Swiss authorities to declare he is the father in his absence.

Jamila, who gets by on £300 a week benefits, says she isn't interested in Sisqo's fortune - but wants Ian to meet his dad.
But the Swiss child support agency is trying to contact the RnB star to force him to pay £100,000 in backdated maintenance payments.
Sisqo was touring Europe in 1999 with his then band Dru Hill, when he spotted the pretty 14-year-old across the dancefloor at a nightclub called 'El Cubanito'.

Jamila, who says she had just one drink, said: 'He was standing by the bar surrounded by beautiful women.
'But as I walked in with my friends he stared right at me. I could see he was interested in me.' Sisqo made his way over to the schoolgirl, who was dancing with her friends, and began to chat her up.
'He said I was very beautiful and asked to dance with me,' she said.
'He never asked my age and I never told him I was 14.'
She went on: 'Later he sat and waited by the cloakroom and grabbed my hand when I walked by.

'He asked if I'd like to go back to his hotel with him. I said yes straight away.' At the hotel Jamila claims they had sex in the bed and insists Sisqo never mentioned using a condom.
'We went back to his room, and we made love once,' she said.
'I couldn't believe it was happening to me. They were a huge band at the time and I loved the Thong Song.
http://i50.tinypic.com/28lszt5.jpg
'In the morning he was friendly and relaxed with me, but he didn't say a lot.
'I Ieft because I knew my mum would be wondering where I was.' When Jamila missed her next two periods she nervously went to the doctor who told her she was ten weeks' pregnant.

'I was shocked and panicked,' she said.
'I made the doctor promise not to tell my mother because I didn't know what to do.

'Eventually I had to tell her. We're very close and I knew she wouldn't be angry, but I was so young, and terrified.
'There was no question in my mind that it was Mark's baby. I hadn't been with anyone else at that time, although I wasn't a virgin.'

But as Ian turned into a bright four-year-old he began to ask about his father and where he came from.
In 2003, when Ian was four, Jamila had a chance to confront Sisqo in person.
She said: 'I saw Dru Hill were coming back to play. I knew it might be a good way to talk to him.
'So I went to the gig armed with a photo of Ian to show him.' However, when Jamila went up to Sisqo after the gig she was shocked by his reaction.
'He recognised me straight away,' she said.
'But to him I was just the girl he'd had sex with.
'He said: "Come back to my room with me again."
'It was clear he remembered me as the girl he had sex with.
'But not as the girl with the baby.'
Angry Jamila went on: 'I was shocked at his behaviour and said no.
Devastated Jamila started increasing her efforts to prove Sisqo was the father by forcing him to have a DNA test through the courts.
Lawyers finally came back to her in 2003 and told her a letter had been sent to Sisqo ordering him to have a DNA test within 20 days.
The legal process was slow but Sisqo was finally sent a notice from the Zurich High Court in 2006 ordering him to comply and in 2007 Jamila had to go to give evidence about what happened that night.

Later that year she spotted Sisqo's profile on Myspace and plucked up the courage to sent him a message and a photo of Ian.
But she says the singer cruelly responded: 'Ur child looks nothing like me.'
Courts in Switzerland accept a man is responsible for a child if he continues to refuse a DNA test.

Now child support services are chasing Sisqo for £1,500 a month in child support payments, stretching back to when his son was two. It could mean he is faced with a bill of £100,000.

Calif. jury acquits man in fatal shooting of up-and-coming rapper at crowded Los Angeles mall
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — A jury acquitted a man Friday of killing up-and-coming Atlanta rapper Dolla during a shooting last year at a crowded, upscale Los Angeles mall.

Jurors rejected prosecutors' contentions that the killing of Dolla, whose real name was Roderick Anthony Burton II, was a callous act of apparent revenge.

Burton and his accused shooter, Aubrey Louis Berry, had been involved in a fight at an Atlanta club less than two weeks before the shooting last May.

Berry's attorney had contended the shooting was an act of self-defence, emphasizing that Burton — a protege of hip-hop artist Akon — glorified a violent gangster lifestyle in his rap lyrics and online videos.

Berry, who has remained jailed since the May 18, 2009, shooting, hugged his attorney after the verdict was read.

Burton's mother, Dayne Robinson, sobbed.

"Oh please, somebody help me," she said, as she and other family members filed out of the courtroom.

Deputy District Attorney Bobby Grace painted Berry as a killer who methodically aimed at Burton during the shooting, then ordered a valet to retrieve his rented sport utility vehicle while still clutching his gun.

In his closing arguments Monday, Grace claimed Berry had no remorse.

"Defendant Berry murdered Roderick Burton in cold blood, then tried to escape to Atlanta," Grace said.

Defence Attorney Howard Price, however, painted a very different picture of Berry, who was soft-spoken last week as he testified about a series of incidents that led up to the shooting.

The college-educated Berry said he worked in commercial marketing, in the music industry, and "never killed anything" growing up. Price portrayed Burton, conversely, as someone who proclaimed a violent streak, bragging in his lyrics about carrying guns, singing "You be running when I shoot, I be shooting where you running" in one tune.

Price said Berry opened fire because Burton threatened to kill him and he feared he had a gun. The 24-year-old Atlanta resident was fearful because he believed the rapper had gang ties.

NFL's Albet Haynesworth's baby mamma drama
Washington Redskins star Albert Haynesworth is being sued for $10 million by a Brooklyn exotic dancer who claims he impregnated her -- then abandoned her.
Salma Hayek look-alike Silvia Mena, who's nearly four months pregnant, says she met the 6-foot-6, 350-pound defensive lineman in Miami late last year. But she claims in papers to be filed in Brooklyn Supreme Court he dumped her after learning she was expecting in late February.
The papers allege that Haynesworth -- who signed a $100 million contract with the Redskins last year -- has refused to talk to her since late March or give her any money toward her medical bills.

Mena, 25, alleges Haynesworth, 28, met her in Miami, romanced her during Super Bowl week, and invited her to his Tennessee home. She claims in the documents that after learning about the pregnancy, Haynesworth promised to "emotionally and financially support Silvia." But, "after making such promises . . . Haynesworth has abandoned the pregnant Sylvia Mena . . . He has refused to provide any emotional or financial support of Silvia Mena or his unborn child."
The papers read that Haynesworth's assistant suggested Mena "seek treatment from an NFL physician." But Mena feared "some effort might be made to purposefully make her lose the child," the papers say.
Mena, who claims she has not heard from Haynesworth since late March, told us last night: "It is very stressful, I cry all the time."
Her lawyer, Salvatore Strazzullo, told us he's filing the $10 million suit in Brooklyn Supreme Court today.
"This man is worth millions," Strazzullo said. "She has had to apply for Medicaid to take care of her pregnancy."
Haynesworth's agent declined to comment on Mena's claims

Why would she think she can get that much money? Child support wouldn't be that much money, AND she hasn't even had the baby yet.
