Since Mother's Day is right around the corner my question is this....
What is the most important thing your mom ever did for you/taught you/impressed upon you?

my mom saved money for me since I was a child, so when I left high school I already had a savings account and enough money to make me feel independent. Then a couple weeks ago, I get a random letter in the mail, its in me and her name and it says their is a CD back home with 14g's in it. should be about 7 g's usd.
I never worked a day in my life. I always had money to spread out across bills but I dont have flashy cars and shit just clothes.
im extremely grateful to her, she always been awesome but thats just the icing on the cake.
I plan to do the same for my kid.

Damn that's crazy that you never worked. My mom MADE me get a job the day I turned 16 lol. My mom hold me down otherwise anytime I needed. My car break down, she let's me use hers. She said I look skinny so she drops off home cooked meals to my apt. she gave me an expensive necklace to give tomy ex one christmas when I was struggling for present money. I can't even count the things she does on a daily basis

my mom saved me from drowning when I was like 4
I was at the end of a dock on a pond thowing seaweed at this girl who was swimming (she had water wings on) I lost my balance fell in and started going down, I started sinking, the world was closing in, and my mom dove in with her all her clothes still on and rescued me, go super mom!
plus my mom always encouraged me artistically

I get the feeling you were taken care of....that's good money. Me? I was taught by mom that "there is no money in the house....it's outside!" So that's where I went....Bagging up groceries at 9....carrying bags home for tips....Then I got a gig at a Carwash at 13 (I lied about my age)....did some of this and that....I to this day....work 7 days a week. I am at the point that if I stayed home I would go nuts...the days I do stay....I paint a room....or put in new outlets or light switches around the house....I can't sit still.
Thanks mom...and R.I.P.

And mama used to say, Take your time, young man...
Mama used to say, Don't you rush to get old...
Mama used to say, Take it in your stride...
Mama used to say, Live your life, live your life, live your life, oh...
