Moseley should've taken him out in the first few rounds if he really planned to win.
Once Floyd realized that he could take Moseley's hardest punches, it was ball game.
People like talent, but when you're too good.....they begin to hate. Look at Kobe.............Lebron............Jay............ ....50. Same niggaz used to worship them talk about them like trash now.

I don't hate him....and I don't know why OTHERS do....I just thought Shane could get this one.

iono about that. after seeing shane hurt floyd it confirmed it for me hes gonna have big problems with the super offensive Packie.
and with packie he never dies down or seem to get tired. so floyd gonna have to deal with that for 12 rounds he's not that good.
but I feel packies on something...naturally nobodies touching floyd, yea.

Agreed. I'm pretty sure in large part all pro sports are "fixed". at least at playoff time. There's too much money to be made in ticket sales and memorbilia for them to leave it to chance.
As to why I don't like Floyd: I don't really like anyone who makes a point of showing out. It's Tacky. I think the only real athelete right now I can really say I respect is GSP. He comes to the ring, fights, wins, nods, interviews and heads out.
That's the difference between old money and new money. Old money doesn't feel the need to show out, they grew up around money and it's nothing to them. New money shows out all crazy because they're trying to prove something to themselves and everyone around me. That's not alpha, that's a beta move when they're in the spotlight.
Old money lasts, new money goes broke quick. I know who I'm modelling my life after....

him being an asshole is part of whats drawing the money. We all know he doesn't really act like that, its the same thing Muhammed Ali used to do.
By him being over the top, you either pay to watch the fight because you got lured into his personality, or you hate him and wanna see him lose.
If he was humble (which he was for his first 30 fights) nobody outside of boxing enthusiasts would pay him any attention. As soon as he started yapping he became one of the biggest names in boxing.
The squeeky wheel gets the oil, thats just how the world works, especially in sports/entertainment. I see alot of products endorsed by Ocho Cinco. I don't see anything endorsed by Marvin Harrison (pre gun charge). People don't never mention Nas in the King Of NY discussions although they mention younger, less selling, but more bragadocious rappers despite his tenure.
Unfortunately the world responds to arrogance. Not even lying, I sit at home and think about going that route, because humbleness gets you no respect in the eyes of those who don't read between the lines

Muhammad Ali did it with a bit more style. There's ways to be loud and known without just being annoying.
I guess what I meant to say it's also about knowing when to make impact, and in what way. Like I mentioned, GSP isn't poor and has a massive fanbase. When you come to the ring and take out the loud, bolsterous dudes one after another, you don't have to say much. Your skills will speak for themselves.
but I digress. You're right to an extent, but wealth maintenance is all about having the right people around you. You could take the easy way to the top, but that will almost certainly mean that when you get there, the support system you have will crumble when the next, louder person comes along. Or, you can have a strong foundation of people to build from and enjoy sustained growth.

What makes you think he doesn't have that background and support base behind him? Just b/c of how he wants on 24/7 show? And let's keep in mind that he not has not lost yet but he's beaten most opponents in convincing fashion. Cats don't even wanna watch Zab Judah no more after that embarrassment

I wasn't speaking about him specifically, that remains to be seen.
But wasn't there an article up here about how most NFL and NBA'ers are broke soon after their career. Ditto for a lot of NHL'ers (except the ones who already came from well to do families), and athletes from everywhere. Hell, even look at musicians and other entertainers. How many times did Hammer go broke?
Not all, but a lot do.
Cats don't even wanna watch Zab Judah no more after that embarrassment
So true. He basically ruined Judah's career. You never hear of him anymore.
Also, co-sign Merc's previous post.
One of my favorite fights from the last few years was when Calzaghe played Roy Jone's whole showboat role and proceeded to beat the tar out of him.

Boxing is crazy...like in other team sports, after you retire, even though your last few seasons are usually your weakest...for the most part you are remember for your prime. When Shaq retires, we will reminisce about him on Orlando, LA, Miami. Same thing with Jordan. Its almost like the Wizards years didn't happen.
Boxing though, you kinda gotta stay on point and retire on top. Roy Jones legacy is now that he got knocked out often LOL.

Even if yÓu don't believe in the bible, and look at it from a purely story standpoint...when Jesus stepped to cats on the hunble, they never listened or they taunted him. When he started walking on water, ressurecting people, or throwing tantrums at the temple, people started being like "oh snap"

Again though, that was all about tact and he did it when appropriate.
During the 40 days and nights, Satan tempted him and he refused each time. He could have shown out, lost faith and turned the stones into bread, but he did not. Nor did he pull himself from the cross when one crucified prisoner said (and I'm paraphrasing) "if youre the son of god, why don't you take youself down?"
not to mention he was born in a manger and had gifts from three kings....

It's called gambling. If you play any game of chance you don't play because you expect to win, you play for the chance and the excitement. If you don't want to lose don't gamble. You think millions of people go to casinos because they have a sure thing?

I don't support the underdog when the underdog is labeled as one JUSTIFIABLY. You kinda punish people for doing a good job, which I don't understand.
